Twitch Integration
Now your chat can either use the !invaderz or !invaders command to spawn up to 3 ships for you to battle. Be sure to dodge or hit their fire! Change the button from “INVADERZ” to “INVADERZ BITS” to make the Synth Invaders appear in response to bit donations - 100 bits to launch the first invader, 400 bits for the second and 500 for the third - so 1000 bits instantly launches all three!

Update 2.3.0.4

Hi Riders!

We really hope you're all enjoying the Spin Update, and we've been gathering all your reports of issues from all over and working to get as many things patched as possible. We want to thank everyone who has let us know about all these things for helping make Synth Riders a better game for everyone! There are a lot of changes in this patch, we've detailed as much of it as we can here.

FORCE MODE
 • After feedback from our Force playing community, the Force setting has been changed to the equivalent setting of the old “normal” modifier. This should make Force mode more enjoyable for everyone (thanks ELZ, NotKouto, emikodo)

MULTIPLAYER
 • Multiplayer scores for rooms with more than 5 players now display correctly (thanks Xrayxout).
 • Multiplayer - players marked as "Not Ready" are still being brought into the game (thanks Glonkable)
 • Multiplayer - wins not being updated in the main board (thanks Camelellogram)
 • Setting Voice Chat to Always and leaving Push to Talk off now correctly lets you talk while playing (thanks Gruntled)

TWITCH INTEGRATION
 • Prismatic notes behave correctly with the !rainbow command (thanks GeeseBreath)
 • Colour randomization with !color colours the rails correctly (thanks Wirrel)
 • Back arrow on the Queue menu works correctly (thanks Wirrel)

STAGES
 • “Spin City” is now selectable as a stage for use outside of Spin Mode!
 • Objects in the Spin City stage no longer disappear on head movement (thanks T-railed, Ichderhorst)

SETTINGS
 • Multiple selections of the Load Scene button in Settings no longer causes a problem loading the ready room world (thanks Xrayxout)
 • Auto Height & Units options in the Settings > Calibration Menu now work correctly (thanks mvoosten)
 • Time format updated for Quest users on the platform clock behind the player (thanks Gruntled)

OFFLINE PLAY
 • You are again able to play offline (thanks ThatDylan). In this mode, scores will not be saved or submitted.

SCORES & LEADERBOARDS
 • You may now swap between two leaderboard views.
 • Combined view shows all scores regardless of modifiers used.
 • Modified view shows only those scores set using the modifiers which you have selected
 • Player’s own score will now show again on the Friends tab in leaderboards (thanks Xoanon)
 • Scores set in Multiplayer lobbies are now saved into the unified leaderboards, so while you’re waiting for players to join you can still practice those songs!
 • Leaderboards are no longer just identified by the song’s name and artist information. Instead they are now tied to the song’s map. This means that if you have made a custom song then you will have new leaderboards as of this update, and should you make alterations to your custom song’s map this will in future also cause a new leaderboard to be created
 • .Accuracy percentages now showing correctly again on the summary screen on PCVR versions and multiplayer (thanks MiMiXi)

HUGE Update - "Spin Mode" is here!
Hey Riders!
We are so excited to deliver to you a really huge update to Synth Riders, packed full of features and changes which we hope all of you are as excited about as we are!
A Whole New Spin for Every Map!
Just select the Spin Mode for the angle you’d like to play - from 90, 180, 360, or the amazing 360+ which elevates your play to new heights. Then you can increase the intensity of your spin experience from Mild to Styled.. or Wild! We’ve created a unique spin algorithm (nothing random!), which preserves the original linear mapped experience while adding an extra dimension of spin to the map. This means that all players have the same spin experience and can compete to be the top of the spin leaderboard for each difficulty!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ainP_T1iyvE
Welcome to Spin City - Where the Neon’s Back and Bright!
To compliment our new Spin Mode, we have created a special stage called “Spin City” - and the Rooftop is now your new landing place when you launch the game. In graphics updates with this release, we have brought back the neon glow and flash effects (you can turn these off in Settings > Visuals if you wish), plus new rail textures and improved particle hit effects.
A New, Free Song for the Synthwave Essentials Pack - “Star Fighter” by Wice
Many of you have been asking for more Synthwave music, so we’re excited to bring you a track from the fantastic Danish synthwave and retro-electro artist, Wice. With a punchy bassline and soaring synth leads, take this 2017 classic for a spin!
Play Profiles, Easy Way to Play Your Own Style
Select a combination of modifiers, hit the save icon up the top and create a new Play Profile. Give it a name, a cover, and an icon. Quickly access your favorite combinations of modifiers to match the type of play experience you want to have today. Fitness, dance, or challenging - it’s up to you!
New Modifier Makes Notes Vanish Right Before Your Eyes
The Vanish Notes modifier is similar to the Prismatic Notes modifier, however, with this modifier active, notes will actually disappear and rails will be reduced to their nodes. You’ll need to remember both the position and colour of the notes as you play. Stack this with Prismatic Notes and you’ll get a randomising effect!
Unified, Filterable Leaderboards
We’ve made the switch to a single, central leaderboard for each song’s difficulty that will allow each player to set multiple scores based on the modifiers they have selected at the time! Only want to see scores for your favorite combination of modifiers? Select your 3x note jump speed, prismatic, small notes modifiers and the leaderboard will show only those scores on the right. Use a Play Profile for that combination to make it easy to see who’s playing with your favorite modifiers.
Tightened Hit Accuracy
The Hit Accuracy modifier has been retired, instead, we have tightened up hit detection for everyone in Hard, Expert, and Master levels. While this does not impact the scoring zones, it will make it more difficult to pass maps without moving or putting in the effort to complete rails and get to notes in time!
Plus... The Room Is Back!
Many of you watched our anniversary video and asked about the old apartment ready room, and we couldn’t answer.. because we’d already brought back all the old ready rooms ready for you to use! You can select your favorite from the retro apartment (The Room), what happens when your apartment falls through a wormhole (The Void), giant stone structures, and futuristic heads (The Pit) and the rooftop overlooking Spin City (The Roof).

CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS
 • We have reversed the crouch wall changes introduced in the “Fitness” update in the interests of accessibility.
 • Onboarding for new players has improved, prompting colour selection, scaled play area suggestions for taller players and other important settings to give the player a better first experience in Synth Riders.
 • Scale Up Play Area has now moved into Settings > Calibration, which means you can now also take your preferred values with you into Multiplayer.
 • More refurbished and retimed maps for existing songs in the OST.
 • Improvements to security around leaderboards, with scores now tied to your individual player ID.
 • Subtle graphical improvements in all the stages.

BUG FIXES
 • Fixed the selection and behavior of larger numbers of playlists (thanks Moinn)
 • Fixed display of playlist information after accessing player settings (thanks Wirrel)
THANK YOU
A huge thank you to our beta testers: Dubu, Fasty, Hawkwolf, HeyFalcon, Ichderhorst, Jade, Kuritsa, Moinn, Njna, NotKouto, PG, R2, StarSage, Teebo, TougeVR, Von Arlin, Whattheshark, WinterZ, Xypher & Zekses. You have been fantastic in helping us test what has been such a lot of complex changes, so generous with your time and feedback which we will continue to work on in the updates to come! Thank you so much for being a part of this process with us!
