The Future Of EndCycle VS

Hello everyone, Gal Axis the project lead / developer of the game here!

As some of you know, I have just finished moving to Norway and will be staying there for 10 months as part of my bachelor studies. While this will not affect the state and goals of the project, the amount of updates and the development speed might drop somewhat. EndCycle VS has always been a passion project of mine, that I had the joy of being able to pursue professionally since we released it on Steam in Early Access.
Since release, the game has come incredibly far. With today's version of EndCycle VS having been almost entirely redesigned, the project has morphed, changed and grown so so much. I want to take a moment and thank you all for your support so far. Your kind steam reviews, discord messages and tweets have meant the world to me and the team. Seeing how much you all love our work has been shocking in the best kind of way to say the least.
Now let's get into the meat of things: If I had to say, the secret dev-version of the project is just about 95% complete! If you are not up-to-speed with all the new additions, I recommend you look through our twitter and check our most-recent posts for a recap of things that will be added with the next update! Here is a short roadmap of the things we will still be adding...
Next update: "Ultra"
  • Unique Ultra Attacks for each of the characters
  • New reworked roguelike-mode
  • 2 new playable characters
  • Full Steam Workshop integration
  • Achievements on both Steam and Android
  • 4 new attacks and 1 new style
  • Tons of balancing changes and sprite reworks

And here are our planned features in the last few updates before we release the game in full capacity:
  • Character-specific Taunts (Online + Offline)
  • 3 new campaigns
  • ~8 new attacks
  • Capture the Flag gamemode
  • ~3 additional characters
  • Improved Netcode and online multiplayer systems

I hope you are looking forward to all of these new features! Now, one last thing I want to mention...

We started looking for a game publisher! In order to bring EndCycle VS to as many people as we can, we want to market the game in a much more professional scope than we have so far. We will ensure that the publisher we will partner up with will not affect our planned features, the monetization or availability of the game on Steam. The publisher will provide us with the necessary skills / reach to bring the game to players all around the world and will also help us with localizing it into different languages! Look forward to more info about that in the future.

REVO Scripting update

A brand new EndCycle VS!

Hello everyone, I'm Gal Axis the project lead / programmer of the game here to share very exciting news with you all!

First of all, as you might have noticed already: The game's logo is now updated and different! This look is closer to what EndCycle VS stands for: A fast paced pixel-art fighting game that is yours for the making!



Revo Scripting is now in the game!

Using the new Revo Engine you can create your own cross-platform scripts to code your own game modes, battle systems attack patterns, and anything else you want to create.

We're still working on a lot of guides that document just how you can utilize this new feature properly, so stay tuned for Steam guides that will be popping up soon.
If you have any questions, come join our Discord server (https://discord.gg/zS33UCb) and chat with other mod creators which are already working on mods with the Revo engine!

Mods are not the only new thing however! This update has a lot more in store for you...

Joining the fray is a new character: Fossil Fuel

This behemoth of a noise is able to consume lava panels in order to boost the magnitude of attacks to their limit!!!



With its large HP pool and power, it will be a challenge to take down in online multiplayer. Just make sure to steer clear of water and slowing attacks!

New VOCs
There is a bunch of new attacks for you to play with!
  • Lv1 UpBlade and Lv1 Downblade VOCs combined with the newly reduced sword ending lag will make it posible to combo your enemies out of this world!
  • Lv3 PotatoBomb will stick to your enemies and explode in an X radius around them with a powerful explosion! You can get really creative with setups due to the delay!
  • Rain down the Lv1 Droplet VOC on your enemies and freeze them solid! Due to its low cooldown, it's easy to overwhelm your enemy and trap them in a cool situation!
  • Absorb your enemies' hits and turn them into HP with the new Lv2 PainCrave! Combining this with Fin's new "Overheal" ability will result in an explosive amount of HP!


UI Overhaul

A bunch of the UI was overhauled to be more simple, accessible and quick to use. We also made fonts more legible by removing a lot of the outlines which cluttered the visuals. Check it out!





Character shop

Characters can now also be bought in the shop instead of having to unlock them through specific game modes! This way, you can now focus on the modes which are the most fun to you!

We have been working hard to bring you all the newest EndCycle VS content. Here is all the new stuff you can look forward to...

[h2]New Main Menu and UI feel[/h2]
As we have added a lot of features to EndCycle VS, we thought it might be time to update our main menu to accommodate all of them. So, we present to you: EndCycle's New Main Menu:

You will find the features much more easily accessible than before. We also polished UI feel here and there. We hope you enjoy the soothing UI animations we created.

[h2]New VOCs[/h2]
This time around we added two new VOCs: PanelBack and AreaForce! The former reverts back an enemy panel in front of you and shoots a powerful energy orb towards your enemy! The latter forcefully takes back the closest row from your enemy and is only level 3, but it hurts you slightly in exchange!

Have fun experimenting with these new VOCs!
Oh, there's also a new Style: Neutral! With this style, you revert the closest stolen panel in front of you back to a neutral party. Use this style wisely...

[h2]Recipe Hub[/h2]
You can now upload your recipes online and share them with the world! Simply go into the inventory and press the "upload" button in the recipes menu. You can of course also download recipes from all over the world! Get inspired by other people's decks and make your own spin-offs and variations of them!


[h2]Local Lan Server[/h2]
In the Online Multiplayer menu you will now find a new "Host Server" option! Clicking this will open up your own private lobby which is hosted through your computer! Doing so enables you to host a lan lobby for yourself and your friends (or even an online one if you have port-forwarded the ports 17778 and 17779)! Have fun playing with your friends even without connecting to the internet!

[h2]Save linking[/h2]
You can now connect your save file between Android and Steam! Simply visit the "Save" section under the settings and initiate a Host and Client pair-up between your phone and your PC! Once you do this, you will be able to take your adventures on the go without any further hassle!

Just be careful not to play on both devices at once, as you may lose progress otherwise...

  • Modding: Added "Hide/Show" button to many sections

  • NEW: Lv2 PanelBack: Reverts panel party in front!
  • NEW: Lv3 AreaForce: Reverts row party but hurts user!
  • Lv4 Bolt: Fixed sound effect
  • Lv2 BuildMove: Panel affected is now in front!
  • Lv1 IceSpear: Power 150 -> 180
  • MOC Push: Power 120 -> 100, Crush 50 -> 70
  • NEW: Lv1 Neutral-Style: Stolen panel in front becomes neutral!

+ Vampiric: Restore health when damaging the enemy
+ Revenge: VOC Cooldowns reduce when taking damage
+ Undershirt: Survive one fatal hit per battle
+ Conqueror: Gain a short Berserk status after taking over panels
+ Toxic: Poison enemies when you receive damage from them
+ Critical: Your attacks will sometimes do double crush damage
+ Panicky: Gain a short Haste boost once per battle when your HP is low

Hey, how are youuuu?

We're doing great!
EndCycle VS just received an update with a brand new single-player mode!
