Forging Ahead
Our Burden of Command team has moved to an exciting new phase of internal testing, and we wanted to provide a brief update on our progress.

For a while now we've been developing and testing the Burden of Command tactical engine and artificial intelligence, and the fiction and narrative of the Seventh Infantry Regiment have been growing alongside. Sound effects, music, historical images, and other important features are also coming together. Now it's time to start joining the pieces and integrating the story of the Cottonbalers into the tactical engine.

After testing through several hypothetical scenarios with nameless units, we're now meeting Capt. Lamb, Lt. Wilson, Sgt. Grant, and the others for the first time.

Reading their stories and learning their personalities adds a whole new layer to the decisions you have to make. Knowing what happened recently to one particular platoon, do you really want to order them to assault that fortified position? There's another platoon in range, and its leader has been wanting to get into the action lately.

But as you maneuver the platoons, an unexpected sighting interrupts your plans...

Maybe it's time to radio Capt. Lamb about that artillery support...

We'll have plenty of future updates, so be sure to add Burden of Command to your Steam wishlist and remember to check back often.

New Wallpaper -- Capt. Boston
Capt. Boston is an old-school commando. Rangers lead the way, and Captain Boston leads his Rangers from the front. As a Ranger officer, Captain Boston is good at getting out of scrapes, but Anzio is no ordinary battleground.

These wallpapers come in both PC and Mobile device versions. In addition to the these links, you can also find these images in the 'Art' tab. We hope you enjoy them.

Please keep checking back as we introduce you to more of the Cottonbalers, and don't forget to add Burden of Command to your Steam wishlist.

Burden of Command Main Theme #3
In "Men vs Mission” you can feel the weight of the mission in the horns at the start. They break for a section of quiet contemplation in the middle of the track before ramping up into the soaring main theme for the men at the end.
War Machines? Yes, also homes
Many World War II games understandably emphasize equipment. But, focused on the Burden of Command, we concentrate on lives. The lives of people often just like you.
“The Mission” theme is a melodic piece with a steady rhythm meant to convey the martial valor needed to lead. It establishes a sense of togetherness and a common goal for the men to work toward.

Can you lead them?
