WIP: Ducks, Guns and Insider Preview
Hello, Deadsiders!
We're continuing to reveal details about the upcoming Update 0.4.0 and this time we will talk about filling the world of Deadside and some non-combat features that the update will bring to the game.
The wildlife of the Deadside world comes to life with ducks settling near water. We plan to expand the game's fauna with other animals in the future. Water bodies will not remain lifeless either.
Duck hunting:
Ducks are not just a decorative element of the environment, but one of the ways to get food in the post-apocalyptic wilderness. You can just scare ducks off in the reeds and check how fast you are, or use a decoy. But be careful: attracting attention can easily turn you into prey.

The post-apocalyptic world is harsh, but the extracted meat and fish do not necessarily have to be eaten raw. You can skin your prey and cook food on a campfire. Do not overcook: meat may burn.

The merchants' stocks are running out, but you will be able to get fresh water and food yourself, and there is still enough canned food left in the settlements.
As you already know, these are not the only changes in the world that the 0.4.0 update will bring to the game.

Durability, repair and disassembly of weapons:
When the update goes live, the assortment of weapons available at safe zones from traders will also change. We do not plan to make the weapon wear excessive so that the gameplay flow is not affected much, but you will have to track the condition of the weapon in order to avoid jamming in the midst of a gunfight.
In order to repair the weapon, you will need a tool kit and a repair kit containing parts of the disassembled weapon. You will also be able to use disassembling to break enemy weapons to prevent hostile survivors from using them.
