Technical patch 0.3.1

Hello, Deadsiders.[/h2]

At 01:00am PDT /08:00am GMT on July 29, Technical patch 0.3.1 will be deployed on the servers, introducing fixes, optimizations and QoL changes.

During the patch deployment, servers may be temporarily unavailable. The game client needs to be updated.

[h3]Improvements:[/h3]
  1. Base building:
    • tools can now be placed in the hot bar;
    • pressing ESC returns a step back in the construction menu;
    • reduced the amount of wood needed for base buildings;
    • the placeholder is visible only to players registered on the base;
  2. Added the ability to climb through the windows of the building in the southern safe zone;
  3. added the ability to replace weapons by drag-and-drop from the container to the hand slot
  4. New meshes, textures and materials of storage boxes.


[h3]Bug fixes:[/h3]
  1. Fixed an exploit with shooting through the elements of the base structure;
  2. Fixed locking of shooting and hot bar when performing an emote during switching between weapons;
  3. Fixed the applied clothes skin not displaying on the character in the main menu.";
  4. Fixed incorrect rounding of the item counter;
  5. Fixed the sound of the campfire not interrupting after teleportation;
  6. Level design fixes:
    • various graphic bugs of the railroad;
    • visual artifacts of landscape and roads;
    • grass under water;
    • grass in a building in Maklok;
    • multiple floating objects along the riverside;
    • fixed spots in the bunker and Chorny Log where the player could get stuck;
    • incorrect fence collision in Krivets;
    • incorrect collision of the handcar.
  7. Base building. Fixed:
    • the ability to install a base flag on the power transmission pole;
    • the inability of the character to get off a tower ladder;
    • the ability to infinitely “stack" a large gate wall;
    • the inability to disassemble stairs;
    • the ability to build underwater.

Update 0.3.1 is live on Public Test Server!

Technical patch 0.3.1 is deployed on Public Test Server and is waiting for pioneers.

  • Wait for an update to download and launch the game;
  • Connect to one of the available official PTS servers depending on your location.
How to switch back to the live version of the game:
  • Right-click Deadside in your Steam library, then click on Properties…;
  • Choose BETAS, then select the “None” branch from the drop-down menu;
  • Wait for an update to download and launch the game;

New Base Building System, Workbench & Steam Inventory | Update 0.3.0



Hello, Deadsiders!


We have released Update 0.3.0 on all servers. During the deployment of the update, the servers may be temporarily unavailable. the game client needs to be updated.


[h2]NEW FEATURES[/h2]


[h3]● REDESIGNED BASE BUILDING ●[/h3]
We have created a new interface and redesigned the base building mechanics to make the process of constructing a shelter more comfortable and faster, especially if you prefer team play.

  1. The base module menu has been changed to radial and is available by pressing the “B” key. Select a module by pressing the LMB;
  2. During the installation of a base module, the interface displays tools and resources required for building;
  3. The character is no longer tied to the construction site: no more progress bars during construction;
  4. Three modules are available for simultaneous construction;
  5. Resources needed to build a module can be added gradually during construction;
  6. Canceling construction or disassembling a base module returns 50% of the resources spent.

[h3]● WORKBENCH AND STEAM INVENTORY ●[/h3]
We have added a workbench, a new base module and a feature that will allow you to apply camouflage on clothes. The functionality will be expanded in the future. Steam Inventory integration is automatic.

Two test skins are added to your Steam inventory when you log into the game:
- set of skins "City" for all players;
- set of skins "Vortex" for owners of the Supporter pack.

[h3]● IMPROVED PARTICLE EFFECTS FROM BULLETS ●[/h3]
More dust, sparks and blood: realistic visuals that also have practical purpose. Now, the point of impact of a bullet is more noticeable, which helps you adjust fire faster during combat.

  • Fixed the walkie-talkie reactions to fast travel NPCs;
  • Fixed incorrect rendering distance of the placed explosive charge.

[h2]Warning![/h2] The release of the 0.3.0 update on the live servers will be accompanied by a wipe. All bases will be taken down. Craft kits of the base modules stored in the inventory will also be deleted. Other items placed in the safe zone storage will not be affected by wipe.
