On September 27 from 18:00 CET / 10:00 PT tune into the official Conqueror’s Blade Twitch channel to get an early look at all the content coming up in Season IX, including the Outriders, Axe Raiders, and Shenji Grenadiers Units, new Battle Pass rewards, the epic Seasonal Campaign focused on the Borderlands, and the new threat posed by the Tyrant.

This spear-throwing cavalry Unit is utterly ruthless in battle, and pre-ordering them will allow you to send them into the fray at the very beginning of Season IX!

Check out a sneak peek of this Unit’s skills:

• Ride Like the Wind: The Outriders charge the current target and throw a round of explosive javelins at the enemy, then strip them of their ammo.
• Burning Plains: The cavalrymen ignite the fuse on their explosive spear and throw it. Upon hitting the enemy, they will be soaked in the incendiary fluid, which later explodes, inflicting damage and reducing their ability to block.
• Zoom and Boom: The Outriders storm their foe and then use an explosive to quickly escape.

These axe-wielding and throwing rebels are a band of farmers and woodcutters forced to take up arms to defend themselves against the evil Tyrant.

Take a glimpse at this Unit’s skills:

• Throw Axes: The Axe Raiders throw their axes, inflicting major damage and knocking their enemy down.
• Close to the Edge: Quickly rushing to where the Throw Axes weapons fell, the Axe Raiders daze enemies along the way.
• Double Axe: Each Axe Raider warrior quickly throws two axes at the enemy.

Get your hands on the Axe Raiders Pre-order Bundle in-game or via MY.GAMES Market (purchase limit of one), and you’ll also receive the rewards from their Unit Challenges when you redeem them on October 4.

IMPORTANT: The order in which Units in Season IX can be unlocked remains the same, regardless of pre-orders. For example, the Axe Raiders can be purchased, but can only be unlocked if players also own the Outriders (via pre-order or by completing challenges).

Someone needs to stand against chaos, and troops are gathering from all walks of life to fight the new threat. Today, we’ll be looking at the third and final new Unit joining the rebellion in Season IX: Tyranny, an explosive band of highly-trained and powerful troops from the East: the Shenji Grenadiers (5-Star).

These well-equipped ordnance experts possess high-precision firearms in the form of elite muskets. Thunder may appear to roll across the battlefield, but it is actually the sound of the Shenji Grenadier’s weapons clapping.

Along with their powerful muskets, the Shenji Grenadiers live up to their incendiary name with bomb-throwing skills that can cause blast injuries to any foes in their wake.

We initially revealed Shenji Grenadiers as a Unit that we intended to have joined the Unit Tree during Season VIII: Dynasty. Though it’s taken longer than expected for these Eastern warriors to gain some traction, we’re happy to announce that in addition to being unlockable via Seasonal Challenges, you will also be able to unlock Shenji Grenadiers using Honour via the Unit Tree later in Season IX.
