Season IV: New Battle Pass, new rewards! (Updated)

Update: check out the new video below!

A new season is rushing towards us, which means it’s time once again to consider the benefits of acquiring a new Battle Pass. As with previous seasons, the Season IV Battle Pass is by no means necessary - you can earn some great rewards without one. But, if you want to maximise your time and effort and claim all that the coming season has to offer, you might find a Season IV Battle Pass worth your while.

That’s because there are two tiers of seasonal rewards, a lower tier for everyone, and a higher tier for those with a Battle Pass. The more Glory you earn during the course of the season, the higher your Nobility rank and the more rewards you can claim.

Producer Update: July 27, 2020

Hey there, warlords! It’s been a busy year for Conqueror’s Blade, and we’re now in the age of the Anadolou Empire! We hope everyone’s enjoying Season IV: Blood of the Empire - the teams at Booming Games and MY.GAMES have put a lot of effort into making this an update to remember. We also can’t wait to welcome the Turkish community to Conqueror’s Blade on August 4 when full Turkish in-game localization is ready to launch.

We brought a lot of new features in with Season IV, including a new server: Teutanis (EU3). We’re always looking to bring in new players, and we’ve seen a lot of new warlords take up arms this year. The new server is an opportunity for everyone joining us from Season IV onwards to have a fresh start, progressing through levels, battles, and events like Territory Wars at the same pace and on a level playing field.

However, we know that some players have experienced issues with our existing servers, including Asterion (NA), Crystal Sea (EU1), and Sicania (EU2). We haven’t forgotten about these issues, and we are investigating ways to improve the gameplay experience for players on these servers.

We know players on the Asterion (NA) server have been experiencing issues, including high ping while matchmaking. We’re happy to announce that we introduced new matchmaking functionality with the launch of the Season IV: Blood of the Empire update, which means players on Asterion (NA) will first search only for local players for a few minutes, before matchmaking begins searching for cross-server players. We’re carefully monitoring this new feature, but we hope this relieves the issues some of our players have been facing.

With this said, we know this isn’t a catch-all solution for issues on the Asterion (NA) server. We are continuing to investigate reported issues such as lag, and performance issues during Territory Wars and Free Battles. We’re confident in the quality and performance of our servers, but it’s possible that certain ISPs may be causing issues for some players. If you are experiencing issues like this on Asterion (NA), please provide detailed feedback (including your ISP) to our Support or Community teams so we can investigate and pinpoint the root of the issues.

On the subject of performance issues on our EU servers, as shown with the changes to the Asterion (NA) server, we’re always looking for ways to improve the Conqueror’s Blade experience. We are satisfied with the population levels on Crystal Sea (EU1) and Sicania (EU2), so while we’re not planning to merge them, we do need more time to investigate, develop, test, and implement different solutions. You will be the first to know when we have them.

We’re rounding up a lot of community questions to answer in the next Producer Update, which will be coming very soon. If you have anything you want to know, fire away to our lovely Community team on the official Conqueror’s Blade Discord channel!

Your Friendly Neighbourhood Conqueror’s Blade Producer, Jacek Pudlik

DaddyDeath’s sudden death Death Tournament

There’s been no shortage of duelling tournaments in recent months, which is why we’re pleased to see the guy who popularised them trying something a little bit different. Rather than 1v1 town centre scuffles, DaddyDeath’s Death Tournament will instead invite players to take part in 3v3 Field Battles.

The tournament will be set up in a single-elimination format, to be played on Saturday 25 July on the Conqueror’s Blade Tournament Server.

Signups are in progress and DaddyDeath369 will be streaming the festivities live. The very first subject in our Creator Spotlight series will, of course, be judge, jury and excommunicator when it comes to taking names and handing out prizes. Speaking of which…

Season IV campaign dates

As well as unlocking and improving new units, a new Conqueror’s Blade Season means that full-scale war is once again on the horizon. Starting on July 27th (prior to which Territory Wars will remain in ‘Drill Mode’) will be Season IV’s Campaign, an ever-escalating conflict that will lead armies into the heart of the Borderlands and the fight to secure the game’s ultimate prize, the Conqueror’s City!

Closely mirroring Season III’s road to war, the new campaign will comprise of five stages. If you want to follow along, bring up the Seasons interface (F5) and select the ‘Campaigns’ panel:
July 27 - Aug 13
The Baron’s War is the opening stage of the season-long conflict, allowing houses and alliances (and Cohorts and Legions), to capture and hold fiefs within their current region. Building up a secure heartland and securing the resources necessary to fund future advances is an important first stage in any campaign.
Aug 14 - 20
Crossing Frontiers is when the border forts that guard the access routes into neighbouring regions open up to allow armies to expand their territories into regions that offer resources that are hard to secure at home. During this important period, while the Borderlands will be accessible, the fiefs within will remain independent and unconquerable.
Aug 21 - Sep 13
Heart of the World is the stage of the campaign during which houses and alliances can start to settle the fiefs of the Borderlands, where the stakes and potential rewards are much higher. As well as securing valuable resources, warlords will want to occupy a favourite position for the season’s most climactic battles.
Sep 14 - 27
Conqueror’s Crown sees the iconic gatehouses that guard the Conqueror’s City open up, allowing players to fight for the right to claim the ancient city as their own. The city is due some alterations, as are the rewards for its eventual occupation (on which we’ll share in a future article), but as before, houses and alliances will have to secure and hold onto a gatehouse fief in order to be able to take the city. Members of the house and/or alliance that holds the city at the end of final Territory Wars on September 27 will be crowned as conquerors.
Sep 28 - Oct 5
Imperial Dawn is when peace breaks out! Houses and alliances put down their arms in homage to the new World Conquerors and begin the long march home, to make preparations for a new season. Rewards will be handed out and warlords will have the opportunity to wrap up their unfinished seasonal business, by completing Unit Challenges, maximising Glory and making sure all their Barbutes are put to good use before they expire.

Ahead of the commencement of formal hostilities, we’d like to wish good fortune to all houses and alliances. May the best of them win, and may you all have fun trying!

Please be aware that the above dates are subject to change and it may become necessary to extend the Season. We will, of course, provide full updates in any such circumstances.

House Profile: Deutschritter (EU1)

The current leader of German house Deutschritter seems as economical with their words as they are droll about house bureaucracy. A few beers after battle should sort that out...

How did you first find out about Conqueror’s Blade?
Two friends and I were just checking it out. Now I am the leader of the Deutschritter. Didn't work out so well with the "just checking it out".

Why did you decide to set up Deutschritter?
I only continued the work of the great Krümel who originally founded the house.

What do you think makes the house different?
We are one of the oldest houses on EU West 1. Furthermore, you can see that the house is run by Germans. Almost no other house has as much bureaucracy, lists and structure as we do. Whether one can be proud of that is another matter.

What does the house hope to achieve?
To continue to grow, to remain well known and as a serious house.

What’s your favourite class to play as and why?
Dual Blade, it fits me best and reflects my playing style.

What activities does the house regularly enjoy?
We participate in everything that the game throws at us. There is actually no match/mode that is not played by our members.

Who are your most trusted warlords?
There's Helmchen, my right hand and a military commander in chief. Starian as quartermaster is the highest civil authority and Googlehupf does a very good job as our diplomat. Of course, the house would be nothing without mentioning all my other boys and girls, but that would go beyond the scope of this article.

If someone wanted to contact your house what should they do?
The best way is to join our Discord.

Are there other houses that you admire?
There are some houses where interaction and/or communication is fun. Especially houses that have been around for a very long time and have not broken any trust. They deserve my admiration.

Are there any houses that you consider mortal enemies?
Sure there is. If you've been on the server since hour zero, you're making enemies all the time. But, in the end, it is and remains only a game - you should be able to drink a beer with your enemies after a Territory War.

Many thanks to MisaAmane for answering our questions. If you know of a house that is deserving of similar recognition that we should profile in the future article, please make your nomination via our Discord channel.
