Introducing the War Theatre System!

Prepare to enter a bigger, better world when the War Theatre System is introduced on August 5! This brand-new feature will bring big new changes to the Open World and World Map, vastly increasing the sense of scale and epicness in Conqueror’s Blade.

Conqueror's Blade features a vast and ever-changing world at war, and in an effort to communicate a better sense of population, the War Theatre System will allow every Warlord’s rise and fall to be seen in real time. Our vision is to create a fair game environment where you can band together to achieve and share in victory, and with this new feature, we will be able to accommodate players from different channels on a single map.

For the first time ever, it will be possible for all Warlords to see and interact with each other in real-time, creating a real sense of being part of a massive world where you aren’t alone in your pursuit of triumph.

Previously, the only visible information available between different channels was that of Fiefs and player pursuit in the Open World. Players will be able to experience a more complete interactive experience, while also preventing behaviours such as being able to switch channels and ambush enemies in Territory Wars, or to escape player pursuit in the Open World.

In order to implement the new War Theatre System, we reworked our sharding system (where regions on the World Map were previously divided) to dynamically manage and balance the backend load, making it possible to accommodate all players as visible on the same channel and map.

This feature will begin rolling out across all servers following maintenance on August 5.

Let the true war begin!

Map Guide: Linwu Fortress (Siege)

Linwu Fortress is the legendary stronghold that the solemn Greyhair Garrison once protected for four decades, and this desert-bound fortress is about to become the main stage for PvP Siege battles in Season VIII: Dynasty. The iconic fortification can be defended or attacked and invites two teams of 10 players to battle for control.
HISTORY
The Qian Dynasty’s power is waning and has been for several years, with their biggest threat being the Zhang Kingdom. Battles on the Golden Road have pushed back defenders to the last stronghold - Linwu Fortress. The soldiers have vowed to resist until their last breath, but the Zhang Kingdom isn’t backing down either. Conflict is imminent, and even with reinforced walls built to withstand galloping cavalry, the enemy keeps finding new and inventive ways to break through. This is the last stand for the Greyhair Garrison and the Qian Dynasty, and the time for action is now.
SCOUTING REPORT
Linwu Fortress is the last bastion of the Qian Dynasty, and its enemies know that conquering this stronghold would mean victory over the dominating dynasty once and for all. The fortress rests south of a cliff, and attackers seeking to breach it may find opportunity in the tunnels that run beneath, leading to the eastern and southern gates.

The fortress is easily defendable against siege towers and battering rams, but its gates are still susceptible to attacks from artillery and units. Once attackers have breached the walls, either by finding tunnels or simply smashing their way in, they can head directly for a capture or supply point. Two-layered defensive walls provide much-needed protection for the defence of the flag at Point A, but the outer wall is heavily damaged from years of fighting and can be breached with artillery to make a direct beeline to Point A.

Once claimed, attackers can continue pressing their advance. There are supply points on either side to capture, and defenders can cut them off by placing barriers at certain key points, gradually gathering enough control to push back the attackers.
PLAN OF ATTACK
• Artillery and unit attacks can be used to demolish the main gates and gain access to Linwu Fortress.
 • Those wishing to employ the element of surprise can find three tunnels into the fortress, opening out into dry wells or houses.
 • Attackers can destroy the repaired section of the wall surrounding Point A with artillery, breaching it and gaining direct entry to the capture point.
 • Ladders are also available on all three sides of the wall, and when coupled with the tunnels, provide clever attack routes with ways to disrupt defenders’ formations, claim supply points, and cut off reinforcements.
 • The flat rooftops of the dwellings within Linwu Fortress can be used as passageways for ambushes.
DEFENSIVE MEASURES
• The defending team doesn’t need to worry about siege towers nor battering rams (as, in previous excursions against the Qian Dynasty, the Zhang Kingdom brought neither) but do need to be concerned about guarding the secret tunnels that provide attackers with access to the gates from within.
 • Defenders should man the walls protecting Point A and that core section, kicking ladders over so attackers can’t use them to breach the point, and taking out artillery that targets the fragile sections of the wall.
 • Defenders can also take advantage of the flat rooftops within Linwu Fortress by raining down ranged attacks upon their enemies, reducing the number of attackers on the streets.
 • Defenders can set up barriers at key passageways that lead to supply points, pushing back attackers and preventing them from claiming these vital areas.
