New map released: Siege of Eagle Pass

As its name suggests, siegecraft and tactics are important if you want to complete the task before you in this week’s map - to try to take Eagle Pass from its numerous defenders before the sands of time run out.

Set across a dusty plain that was once the bed of a mighty river, Eagle Pass is damned by an imposing wall that must be breached and its defenders eliminated. The walls are well defended by troops and by rocket artillery, with a significant enemy force in front of the wall and reinforcements ready to pour forth from the right flank.

The trick with Eagle Pass is not to get ahead of yourself, even though the timer is always urging you on. It’s imperative that you try to thin the enemy down: If you can, utilise the rear line of cannons to do so, otherwise secure the forward cannons where you can more accurately range your guns. Be sure to go no further until the battlements are silenced and the enemy weakened, otherwise you may trigger enemy reinforcements while you are unprepared and outnumbered.

Once you have the numerical advantage, you can better protect the advance of your siege machines. However, within the walls of the fortress, the enemy numbers are again significant. Where you have the advantage of height and cover, use it to reduce the enemy numbers. As for the bosses that unlock victory, try to find areas from which you can whittle down their health from range. There are plenty of narrow ledges above and around gated areas from where this can more easily be achieved.

Timing is important. Move too quickly and you’ll be overwhelmed and lose your siege engines. Advance too cautiously and you’ll leave yourself little time to chip away at the health of the enemy warlords. Get to know the map however and you can start to use better positioning to offset the ticking clock. As is often the way, practice makes perfect!

Good luck out there.

Server downtime - Friday 2 August

Please be aware that from 08:00 CEST on Friday, August 2 (11pm PST August 1) the Conqueror’s Blade servers will be inaccessible. The downtime is expected to last for 4 hours.
  • Prestige for Houses now has a weekly limit of 100,000. The tooltip for Prestige in the House window has also been updated.
  • Fixed an issue where a female Shortsword & Shield character could deal x3 Damage with the Thunderstruck skill.
  • Fixed a bug where some resource spots belonged to incorrect fiefs.
  • Fixed a bug where the number of weekly quests was counted incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug where weekly quests were not refreshing correctly.
  • Fixed a localisation issue when players received the level 200 quest.
  • Players can no longer switch units in the last 3 seconds of the unit deployment screen. This prevents an issue where players were adding additional units to the battle when switching at 0 seconds.

Stay tuned to our Discord channel for any immediate server updates.

Weekend mission accomplished!

Congratulations to everyone who logged in over the weekend to take part in our three-day global event. You may recall we asked you to collectively take out a million units and we’re happy that, three days later, you managed it with hours to spare, meaning that everyone who took part will later this week be receiving three days of Premium Account time via their in-game Mailboxes.

Well done and thank you for taking part!

The fight for the Borderlands begins!

When we opened up the game’s fifth region a couple of weeks back, access to the Borderlands was purposefully restricted. Happily, we can report that Warlords can now wage war and claim the lands at the heart of the Conqueror’s Blade world!

As well as there being more fiefs to conquer, the income from them is potentially higher than across other regions. We look forward to seeing how expensive they’ll be to defend for those that venture forth. Are you brave enough to take up the challenge?

The Beginner’s Bundle is now available!

Available as a companion pack to our Beginner’s Guide, we’re very pleased to announce the availability of a brand new collection of Conqueror’s Blade conveniences and consumables.
