Breaking The Lore: The Rise of a Dynasty (Part 2)

When we last left our story of Longting and its legends, the Cudgel Monks had appeared to aid the Emperor, and these spiritual warriors would soon play a part in the shaping of the Qian Dynasty.

Affluence prospered in the decade between the founding of the Qian Dynasty and its conquest of Maoyang (a core fief of Longting), and soon troops would be sent further west to begin construction on the Golden Road, opening up the region to the wider world. Beginning in the capital city Hao Jing and crossing through the Borderlands, treasures abound flowed in and out of the region thanks to this glorious merchant pathway.

However, this was not without its obstacles. The Borderlands fell into anarchy when exotic goods began to be imported, and protectors of the realm were appointed to keep the peace. Keeping a watchful eye (and a stowed weapon or two) over proceedings was the Modao Battalion, staunch and disciplined warriors. The Cudgel Monks contributed too, silently observing the hills, lest trouble erupts.

This was not all the Emperor of Qian did, though. A fort was erected in the desert to deter troublemakers and marauders who sought fortune through more criminal means, and the legendary Linwu Fortress was built...

Play Season VIII: Dynasty to see the saga continue in the following weeks, and check back on the website soon for another lore article. Find out more about the Linwu Fortress and the Modao Battalion before the next chapter!

Introducing the War Theatre System!

Prepare to enter a bigger, better world when the War Theatre System is introduced on August 5! This brand-new feature will bring big new changes to the Open World and World Map, vastly increasing the sense of scale and epicness in Conqueror’s Blade.

Conqueror's Blade features a vast and ever-changing world at war, and in an effort to communicate a better sense of population, the War Theatre System will allow every Warlord’s rise and fall to be seen in real time. Our vision is to create a fair game environment where you can band together to achieve and share in victory, and with this new feature, we will be able to accommodate players from different channels on a single map.

For the first time ever, it will be possible for all Warlords to see and interact with each other in real-time, creating a real sense of being part of a massive world where you aren’t alone in your pursuit of triumph.

Previously, the only visible information available between different channels was that of Fiefs and player pursuit in the Open World. Players will be able to experience a more complete interactive experience, while also preventing behaviours such as being able to switch channels and ambush enemies in Territory Wars, or to escape player pursuit in the Open World.

In order to implement the new War Theatre System, we reworked our sharding system (where regions on the World Map were previously divided) to dynamically manage and balance the backend load, making it possible to accommodate all players as visible on the same channel and map.

This feature will begin rolling out across all servers following maintenance on August 5.

Let the true war begin!
