New aim option added

Hi! I have added a new option (defaulted to on) that changes how you aim using motion controllers. The pivot of the cranks will now adapt when your hand goes outside of the crank radius.
This should make it a lot easier to aim when not looking at your hands. If you prefer the old way you can disable “Adaptive cranks” in settings.

Small update with controls and VOIP debug

Hi. You no longer need to look at the steam page for controls. You can now take a look at them before you start playing.

I am working on getting the VOPI fixed and I have added some extra debug information for that.
It is a slow process but I have some leads to what the issue is.

Steel Crew is now released into early access!

My focus for the game will be first of all to sort out bugs and finish up the map. Another map is already in the works and hopefully it should not be too long until you can play it.

I also want to thank all of you who took part in the playtests! It has been super helpful and the game would be in a worse state if it wasn't for you.

For new players that are playing in VR, I recommend checking the controller setup in the Steam VR bindings.

Camera control when not playing in VR
Look around: Left Alt + Mouse / Right analog stick
Move head side/up/down: MMB + Mouse / [HOLD] Right analog stick + Right analog stick
Move head forward/backwards: Scroll / [HOLD] Right analog stick + Left/Right triggers

In preparation for moving the game into early access we will have a small test to see if the VOIP and connection issues have been resolved.

Steel Crew Playtest #2

The time has come for another test!

I got a lot of feedback on the last one and there has been some big changes in the code to make the aiming more responsive. There have also been some quality-of-life improvements but not a lot when it comes to the gameplay and graphics.

When?

The test will run from the 16th to the 18th of July and you can sign up on the store page by clicking the "Request Access" button.
If you got access to the last one you will have it this one too. I hope to let everyone in just like last time.
