v0.8.4 - Introducing "Collector Mode"

The Main Menu now shows a 'Challenge Modes' button, which replaces the old 'Time Trial' button. The Challenge Modes screen lets you play either Time Trial levels, or the new 'Collector Mode' levels. Collector Mode levels are completely new levels where you rush to 'collect' as many of the spheres as you can before time runs out. Steam Leaderboard support is included for this mode.

This release adds just a two Collector Mode levels, so I can get some feedback before adding more. The first is available after completing 'Like a Glove'. The second is available after completing 'Orbital Mechanic'.

v0.8.3 - Time Trial Leaderboards

The "Time Trial" game mode now uses the Steam Leaderboard system to show you how you rank against players from around the world. Time Trial is also available much earlier in the game now, unlocking after you complete the first "tutorial" level. Let's see who's fastest.

v0.8.2 - Added two new "micro-gravity" levels in the Advanced Training area

Added two new levels, "Floating Point" and "Orbital Mechanic", to the Advanced Training portion of the game. Also added a loading bar when loading levels, to let players with slower systems know that progress is occurring.

See full patch notes in game.

v0.8.0 - Five new levels, and performance improvements

This initial 0.8 release introduces the "Core Research" wing, the next major area of the game, featuring five new levels so far. Please submit any feedback you have on the new levels. I'm sure they still need a lot of work.

Level load/reload times have also been dramatically improved. It should now take significantly less time to load most levels and to restart after dying.

Note: This initial 0.8 release is for Windows only right now. The Mac version of 0.8 will probably be coming in a week or so.

0.7.4 - More bendable things, more secrets, and improvements to most levels

0.7.4 brings changes to almost all levels. This update mainly focuses on including more bendable/breakable objects in the game, as well as addressing parts of the game that players found too difficult, frustrating, or tedious. There are a lot of changes in this release, but highlights include:

  • Many levels now feature additional objects that bend/break in response to rift forces. For example, take a look at "Like a Glove", "Hardware Upgrade", or "Crack Shot"
  • A new ending to the "Group Effort" level
  • The "Crack Shot" and "High Speed" levels now have some new content
  • About a dozen new Secrets and 7 new hidden Achievements
  • LOTS of bug fixes and small changes to make the game more enjoyable
