laloth is a strange beast: it's a sprawling isometric RPG both immediately familiar and unlike anything I've played before. It's as indebted to Diablo as it is to the ye olde Infinity Engine games, but it's also unmistakably inspired by Dark Souls. It's a weird hybrid that took me a long time to come to grips with, but after five or so hours its rhythms started to make sense. Added the entry “Combat Conditions” in the Codex Tutorial/Combat section.
Added More Info section to several Talents in the Ways of Power view in order to make it easier to understand the effects of certain conditions, buffs and debuffs.

Critical Chance and Critical Damage Bonus are now shown as a single value each in the Character Recap screen.

[h3]Fixed[/h3]

Fixed equippable items with MaxHp bonuses being abusable to recover health by repeatedly equipping them in safe zones. Now upon equip/unequip of such items the current amount of hp will not be changed if not to clamp it down to a lower value of MaxHP.
“Invisibility” duration was not discounting its rank.

Fixed Critical Chance, Critical Damage bonus not showing up in character recap screen.
Fixed some vendors unintentionally selling a limited quantity of items.
Fixed issue with GOG Galaxy builds not notifying achievements unlocks more than once per session; note all unlocked achievements were still unlocked upon relaunching the game and loading a save.

Dark Souls meets Baldur's Gate in Alaloth, as the RPG finally comes to 1.0

Baldur's Gate 3 proved that what was once old can be made new again, as Larain's follow-up to the beloved RPG series quickly took over Steam and continues to thrive over a year post-launch. Dark Souls, meanwhile, proved that challenge, and how that puts players through immense hurdles, can work in favor of a game's design instead of against it. Put those two games together, and you've got Alaloth. This RPG might look like the classics on the surface, but underneath there's so much more to it. Best of all, it just launched into Steam 1.0 with a sale, and there's more planned for 2025.
