• Routine server updates and maintenance.

[h3]DETAILS[/h3]This coming Wednesday, February 7th, the platform team will be taking the multiplayer servers down for regular maintenance. Please note:

• Ranked matchmaking will disabled exactly one hour before the maintenance window to prevent disruption to newly-formed matches.
  
  
• Any matches still in progress at the start of the maintenance window will be disrupted when it begins.
  
  
• DURING THE MAINTENANCE WINDOW, YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO LAUNCH THE GAME, BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MATCHMAKE OR ACCESS ANY ONLINE FEATURES.

To prevent any interruptions, we recommend wrapping up any games at least 10 minutes before the maintenance window. The downtime is expected to last between 1 and 2 hours. You can watch this thread with any changes to the schedule as they arise, as well as the all-clear when the maintenance is complete.

• Fixed an issue with the Hero Cosmetic rewards not being unlocked for some players.
  
• Fixed an issue where the game could crash when picking up treasure if the player name contains a % character.
  

[h2]UI[/h2]

• Added legacy hotkeys for units in Blockhouses, Grenadiers in Barracks, Ordinance Riflemen and Karelian Jaegers.
  
• Cards of Salteadores are now colored green to use another color from Chinacos and Soldados.
  
• Added new icons for recently added team cards.
  
• Updated the icons of the Japanese Attack cards for Samurai, Yumi, Ashigaru and Yabusame.
  
• Fixed the dark player color in the Ram icon.
  
• Fixed the head size in the Wokou Ronin and Masterless Samurai icon.
  
• Fixed the Inspiring Flag’s icon when returning from Mexican revolutions.
  
• Fixed the Guerilla Tactics icon in the Yucatan revolution.
  
• Fixed the outdated Observers card tooltip in the Yucatan revolution.

• The following cards now play a jingle upon arrival:
  
  • Marvelous Year (Spanish)
    
  • British Grenadiers (British)
• Georgian Hussars (Russians): Now speak Georgian.

• Mounted Riflemen now display swords while in the melee stance.
  
• Masterless Samurai now wear a brown robe to be distinguishable from Wokou Ronin.
  
• Upgraded Spies now wear a historical mask.
  
• Fixed an issue with the Jesuit Church skin not always showing up correctly for the Ethiopians.

If you’re eager to know what’s next for our games already in your library, don’t worry, we’ll have updates for those titles too.

• Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition: We’ll reveal a brand-new campaign-focused expansion and an extended look at exclusive gameplay.
  
• Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition: After giving our players a new way to play for free in 2023, we are excited to reveal a new DLC with new civilizations.
  
• Age of Empires IV: Coming off our best-selling expansion ever with The Sultans Ascend, we will share updates on an upcoming brand-new season and a new in-game reward.
  
• Age of Empires Mobile: TiMi Studio Group, the award-winning developer, will share a first-time look at gameplay and give us a behind the scenes look into their studio. The team will share their passion for Age of Empires and their vision to bring the franchise to new and existing fans alike.
  
• Age of Mythology: Retold: The team will take us behind the curtain in the studio to show how they are developing this beloved game for a new, modern experience. Fans can expect a unique unveiling of a few mythological creatures that you won’t want to miss.
  

Lastly, making a return appearance after hosting our 25th anniversary show, Welyn, will be streaming the event on his Twitch channel. He’ll give his expert impressions and reactions to all the news, reveals, teases and gameplay.
