Speedrun Mode and Much More!

Hello Runners!

Thank you for the incredible response to the 1.0 release! Seeing all the new records and community creations has been amazing 🤩

We have a another cool update for you today, so let's dive in!

[h2]Speedrun Mode [/h2]
This new mode unlocks after you finish the game, and the goal is simple: beat it as fast as possible! ⏱️

Collect 15,000 tokens to unlock the final level, complete it, and stop the dedicated in-game timer to secure your spot in the Speedrun Valhalla Leaderboard.

[h2]New models for Create Mode[/h2]
We see how much you're enjoying Create Mode, so we're giving you even more control over your creations! 👷‍♂️🚧

[h3]Island Pack[/h3]
With this island pack, you can fully customize your environments! It includes an empty terrain, two medium rocks, one big rock, three palm trees, three flowers, and a fern.


[h3]Modular Containers[/h3]
You asked for ROCKETEX containers, and we delivered! We also tweaked their dimensions to make them modular, so they snap together easily. Now you can build mazes, structures, or anything else you can imagine!


[h3]Glass Panels[/h3]
Some of you loved the glass panels but needed doors and windows, so here they are! 🙂

And just in case you didn’t know, glass panels are slippery, making them perfect as blocker-type obstacles since players can't wallrun on them.


[h3]Wood Crate[/h3]
Of course, we had to add the legendary wood crate! Now you can practice box-jumping and create some awesome maps with it.

Fun fact: We discovered a physics bug with this crate model early in development. Jumping off the corners gives you a huge boost, opening up some incredible paths and WRs.

The community loved it so much that we decided to keep it as an actual feature of the game!


[h2]New Character[/h2]
You’ve probably noticed plenty of community-created outfits in the game. With this update, we’re introducing something completely unique: a brand-new character.

Meet Dino Muscle, created by Omed (aka KickyWonka), one of our amazing community members who has already built some incredible maps in Create Mode. 🤩 Unlike most user-created outfits, this one features a fully unique mesh and serves as a proof of concept for where we’d like to take the game next.

Over the past few months, we’ve developed a pipeline for importing custom-made characters. If you’d like to give it a shot, join us on Discord! We’ll show you how, whether it’s a simple texture modification or a brand-new model like Omed’s.


[h2]Restart to last Checkpoint[/h2]
We already had a dedicated restart button, but some of you requested a "restart to last checkpoint" option. This quickly became a personal favorite for me, especially for Speedrun Mode.

By default, you can press [L] to restart to the last checkpoint. We placed it further from WSAD to avoid accidental triggers, but you can remap it in the settings as usual (I use [F] 🤓). You can also remap this on your gamepad as well. If there’s no checkpoint, this button will restart the level.


[h2]Training Adjustments[/h2]
We adjusted the level layout on the first training map, Rocket Jump. A full explanation, including a community-wide vote, can be found in our Discord polls channel, but here’s the TLDR:
  • The best path/strategy on this map could give new players the wrong impression.
  • We love the strat, but it's better suited for maps deeper in the game rather than the first level.
  • Training should welcome new players, not make them question the game. 😅

[h2]Optimization[/h2]
  • Water reflections have been disabled in the Jungle Arena hub and levels.
  • This provides a significant performance boost for many players.
  • On my setup (a 5-year-old mid-tier gaming PC with an RTX 4070 Ti), FPS more than doubled!

If you've made it this far, I just want to say thank you for being a dedicated part of this community! It's because of players like you that we get to keep pushing forward on this amazing journey.

We've poured everything into building a solid game, and we're humbled by the 100% positive reviews so far. We'll do everything in our power to maintain that because we truly believe in our vision of Parkour Trackmania. This game is built together with an incredible community that keeps improving, creating awesome maps and skins, and helping it thrive for years to come.

This is just the beginning. While we may not have millions of players yet, I believe people will recognize what we've built and will join us soon.

It’s hard to put into words what this means to us, but one thing’s for sure—we couldn’t have done this without you. If you played, gave feedback, or just stuck around for the ride, thank you. Seriously.

We’ve had our ups and downs, but from the start, our goal was simple: deliver what we promised. With 1.0, that’s exactly what we’ve done.

It's been a minute since the last update and we are truly happy to be back with a bunch of cool updates! Obviously the big one is the Create Mode, but there's more, check the video 👇

Alright, let's dig into it. Below you can read more about the Create Mode, Community Creations, Speed Effects, New HUD, New Training hub and the RocketEx lore!



The main item on our "Early Access list of promises" is now ready for testing. You can browse the library of models, place them in the scene, move and rotate them around to create your own maps!


The community creations menu allows you to conveniently browse and play maps created by other players. It also allows you to easily find the "latest" uploaded creations or the "recommended" ones that we'd like to highlight.


Special thanks to the few early creators from Discord that helped us iron out the initial bugs by submitting their awesome maps! 🙏


We added a few camera effects and new HUD to increase the sensation of going fast. As you build up speed the FOV increases, the edges of your screen become blurry and speed lines begin rendering around your character. The new HUD displays the amount of boost and nitro you currently have and also has a decent flame VFX to support the feeling of "being on fire"


We added a dedicated starting hub called "Training" with a couple of levels that teach new players the basics. We also implemented a new system for input which automatically detects whether you are playing on keyboard and mouse or controller and displays appropriate hints for controls mapping.


As we are nearing the release of the game we started considering other aspects, such as the lore. You can now find RocketEx containers scattered around the hubs and tracks. You will soon learn more about this company, what it does and what it stands for.

[h3]Other Improvements[/h3]
As usual, there's a bunch of other improvements that you'll notice when chasing your records:
- New Rocket Boots VFX that are more clean and stylish
- Improved flying mechanics that allow you to more easily go in desired direction
- Improved lighting, materials, textures and sun reflections
- Smoother transitions between levels thanks to the hypertube system
- Improved outfit selection screen that now filters individual characters
- Reworked parts of the Rocket Island with a new final zone
- Additional support for Controller and other input improvements
- Polished levels in Islands and Mountains hubs
- Slide is now a hold action
- Flip can now break objects
- Wallrun gives you a slight upward velocity when you begin wallrunning
- Other minor tweaks and bug fixes to improve the user experience

Rocket Boots Mania 0.912 Update



Hello Rocket Maniacs!

We have worked around the clock, grinding through sweat, blood and tears. Drinking rocket fuel instead of coffee to deliver this insanely packed update!

The biggest part of this update is the Rocket Island HUB. What is the Rocket Island? Its like a tropical zen garden where you plant your seed of skill and water it with rocket fuel. Enjoy chilled out onboarding through immersive training sequence, explore the islands, collect tokens, solve puzzles and uncover secrets and hidden bonus levels.





Yes! You can now fly! And man is it fun. We have re-designed a few older levels to accomodate this new mechanic and we as well as our Discord beta besters think its a lot of fun, don't take my word for it, go check it out yourself.



Another huge improvement of the "fun-factor" was adding a power-slide. With a simple press of a button you dash forward with 50% charge getting you that sweet feeling of instant momentum. Something in your way? No worries, during power-slide you are in "crush-mode" and you can easily handle slamming through a few boxes. Couple it with 2 perfect jumps and you are reaching the top speeds!



With the recent update and boost of the project identity we were also fortunate enough to start working with Simone Cicconi who composed a new set of tracks for our project. We love them and Im very confident you will love them too! Original tracks by Vaclav Travnicek will be still part of the game in other hubs / specific levels.



With the soundtrack we though it would be cool to also update some of the old sounds and boy did we nail it with the boostpads. Check level "Rush" or "Heat" to zip around like a super rocket ;)



Well and finally we made all necessary tweaks to claim the "Full controller support". It is definitely a different kind of experience when you want to take it easy and sit back, relax in your sofa and boot up RBM on a huge screen with a gamepad in your hands. We also toned down the default aerial control to make sure the controls feel alright.



If you have played this game before you will see A TON of other smaller or bigger improvements anywhere you look. From the re-design, improved performance, tweaked animations all the way to changes in UI and menu layout.

Rocket Boots Mania 0.911 Update



Hello Rocket Maniacs!
New year is upon us and that means one thing for RBM - even cooler updates!!!

- MOUNTAINS RE-DESIGN

Oh man, re-designing the environments is so much fun because it instantly improves the game feel and this is perhaps my most favorite redesign yet. We are trying to make the environments easily distinguishible and want you to feel not only the visual difference but also the gameplay difference. Mountains now feature the snow canons which lower your visibility and also utilize the new modular tracks system as well as hanging physical platforms. You can find mountains in its own section in the campagin menu.





The first map is called Downhill and is a little bit of twist on the whole game, a kind of experiment to be honest. In most arenas you are trying to get up and in this one, you go down instead, we are curious about your feedback. Stay safe and enjoy the huge cuts :)



The second map - Ice Tower is packed with action, a lot of small platforms hanging from the construction, some possibilities for cutting have already been exposed by the elite beta testing team and we expect more to come as you dive into it.



Basically since the beginning of this whole project we are trying to figure out what is the best solution for the checkpoints, should they be mandatory or voluntary? Obviously we dont want to force people to follow certain path but cutting can turn into reducing the playtime drastically, one of the changes in this build is a new checkpoint prefab with minimal "footprint" which can be placed almost anywhere and is only used as "safe-point" for casual people. On this map it works great because it is so vertical, but wouldnt work on Downhill at all. Let us know what you think



For quite some time we are moving towards the velocity driven movement system and we constantly try to improve the game feel, braking is a relatively new feature and we are still figuring out where exactly this fits in the game. With the latest update if you press back during jump the player will no longer accelerate backward, it will come to a stop until you land. Especially useful for low-end to mid-end players on small platforms (must have on Ice Tower).
