Here's how it works: Select the skill and sketch the trajectory or area of effect using your mouse. That’s all. Your drawn path determines how the skill behaves and interacts with the environment and enemies.
For instance, the "High Wall" skill for the Warrior class lets you create a formidable barrier anywhere you desire, effectively blocking enemy movement and line of sight.
