【Beta】VirtualCast ver2.0.0.b release

※The method to connect with THE SEED ONLINE account has been changed

The connection method has been changed to fortify security. From now on, you have to copy and paste the code.

Click on the [CONNECT] button at the upper right corner of the title screen to open the authentification code input dialog and the connection web page of THE SEED ONLINE.



Copy the code displayed on THE SEED ONLINE connection page, paste the code on the input field in VirtualCast and click [Next] to complete the steps.


[h2]New features[/h2]
  • You can now use the eye-tracking feature in Rooms using VIVE Pro Eye.
  • You can now specify the type of the controllers you are using in the settings screen.
    • The default is auto-detect

[h2]Improvements[/h2]
  • The grab control for the Index controller has been tweaked to be more comfortable.
  • Optimized the ring menu to reduce the frame drop while manipulating it.
  • You can now use GLB items and locations in the Room.
  • Removed the diagonal and lateral movent from the `Studio` control type in the Room.
  • When selecting a room on the ring menu, you can now see why you cannot enter a certain room (the room is full, you have no access right, etc.) before actually entering it.
  • You will be notified when you couldn't enter the room because the room is full.

[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where grabbing a VCI item with gravity settings while the item is being attracted resulted in the item to be blown away.
  • Fixed the issue where some data was left undeleted when the [Reset and Quit] option is used to quit the app in the Room.
  • Fixed the issue where the direction of the hand-laser in the Room was different from that of the Studio.
  • Fixed the issue where you were sent to an offline studio when you returned to `My Studio` from a room.
  • Fixed the issue where your facial expression sometimes didn't reach the 100% state when you tried to change your facial expression in the Room.
  • Fixed the issue where you couldn't load VCIs when you were running Windows in certain languages.
  • Fixed the issue where you sometimes couldn't load VCI locations in the official studios.

  • vci.assets.GetInstanceId() has been added with which you can acquire the unique ID of a VCI instance.
  • You can now send and receive tables with VCI messages.
  • vci.message.EmitWithId() has been added to allow you to specify the destination of the message.
  • Adjusted the repulsion behavior of VCIs which has its IsKinematic value set to true
  • You can now distinguish `Oculus Quest 2` with vci.me.GetHeadMountedDisplayName()
