[Beta] VirtualCast ver1.9.3a release

[h2]Changes[/h2]
  • Now, not only the studio owner but also the spawner of the item can lock the items spawned.
  • You can now see the illustration of the Valve Index controller in the calibration and the tutorial when you have Index controllers connected.

[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where the prioritized acquisition of VCI background was not working properly.
  • Fixed the issue where the connection with THE SEED ONLINE disconnected in a short period.

[h2]Be aware[/h2]
  • The connection flow with THE SEED ONLINE has been changed in this version. Due to the change, you need to reconnect with THE SEED ONLINE even if you had already done so in a version before 1.9.2e.

[h3]Changes[/h3]
  • GetHeadMountedDisplayType can now recognize and return "Index."
    • Before this version, "Vive" was returned even when you are using an Index controller. From this version, "Index" will be returned if you have any Index controller connected regardless of the HMD in use.

  • Fixed the issue where some UIs became inoperable when you have multiple subitems with the same name.

  • Added multi-line feature on the ring menu.

  • You can now copy the studio ID of the current studio into the clipboard.
  • Your avatar will have a small up-down motion when walking, which looks more natural.

  • Fixed an issue where the knees may twist when sitting with 7 VIVE trackers.
  • Fixed an issue where it may sometimes take a while to leave a studio.

  • Fixed the issue where you sometimes couldn't move your hand.
  • Fixed the issue where some models without finger bone couldn't be rendered correctly.
  • Fixed the issue where the help ticker of the ring menu is sometimes displayed way too long in the horizontal direction.

[Stable version] Ver1.9.2b release

On this version, a change has been made to the contents of permission. Therefore, you must re-connect with THE SEED ONLINE even if you have already connected it in earlier versions.
The connection made on earlier versions will be disabled as soon as you launch this version of VirtualCast
New features
  • As you are now able to commercialize assets posted on THE SEED ONLINE, you can see the product information of VCI items.
    • You can check the VCI item information from [Product Information] in the context menu.


    • The conditions under which you can see the product information are as follows.
      • Connected with THE SEED ONLINE
      • The VCI item is registered as a product.
      • The VCI item is set to [Public (公開)] (You cannot see the product information of items in [Unlisted (限定公開)] state).
  • Renovated the tutorial background

  • Added a feature to disable the desktop rendering.
    • While in a studio, press the X key on the keyboard to disable the rendering.
  • You can now move and change facial expressions using the joystick on Windows MR controllers.
    • If joysticks don't work, make sure that the default controller bind is selected in SteamVR settings. The name of the default bind is "Official Bind Configuration for Windows MR."
    • Due to this change, the default controller bind for the Valve Index controller has also been changed. Please use the bind called "Official bind for Valve Index Controller". (In this bind, the "Position" of the "Thumb Stick" is assigned to "joystickposition". Nothing else is changed.)
  • Added an option to use TCP connection for the communication, which can be found on the title screen > [Settings] > [System].
    • Try this option only when the connection to studios is unstable as this option raises the communicational load.
Changes
  • Adjusted the behavior of the vignette
  • Modified the inventory list screen for THE SEED ONLINE to match with the changes made on THE SEED ONLINE with its β release.
  • You will now return to My Studio when you are kicked out from a joined studio.
  • When a falling DVD reaches a certain height, the physics for the DVD will be disabled.
  • Official studios are now shown on the left side of the join list.
  • Added license screen on the title.
Improvements
  • Reduced the occurrence of broken official studios.
  • Added a warning message for "Reset and quit."


  • Added VRM load progress display on the title.
  • Reduced the slowdown of the terms of use screen and the settings screen.
  • Changed the design of the talk-back indicator on the title for clarity.
  • Now the backside of the cue card will be rendered when the opacity of the cue card is lowered.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed the issue where agreeing with the terms of use inside the VR did not move the desktop screen forward.
  • Fixed the issue where multi-assignable items in the title configuration, such as "URLs for whiteboard images," were not able to accept multiple entries by copy & paste.
  • Fixed the issue where in the title screen, the cursor protruded from some textboxes.
  • Fixed the issue where in the settings, [General] > [Input device] was not saved.
  • Fixed the issue where the logo on the camera monitor is rendered on cameras such as the handy camera.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the connection to the studio to be broken when the SteamVR dashboard was left open while playing.
  • Fixed various minor issues.
