Site Surveillance - The Arbor

Greetings, Operatives!

Welcome to The Arbor, one of several off-world sites used by Lemnis Industries in their project to save humanity.

The Arbor site is located on a hitherto unnamed and uninhabited planet outside our solar system. The location is dominated by three giant trees, indicating this used to be a lush forest. Since then the forest has decayed, and the likeliest culprit appears to be microscopic changes and disturbances in the atmosphere. The Arbor's location in space makes it a critical part of Lemnis Industries' network of planets, which in turn will enable them to send a warning message back in time.

Upon arrival, your task is to activate as many of the four on-site Particle Accelerators as possible, while also defending them from any eventual threats that may appear. The Accelerators are the most critical component in powering the planetary network, so without the Arbor and its sister sites, the project is a complete failure.

The four Particle Accelerators are set up at key locations throughout the site for maximum coverage, and have been modified for kinetic activation. That means that all you have to do to activate them is aim and fire, and the Accelerators themselves will take care of the rest. While the system is technically still in the prototyping phase, we've run several successful tests and we are confident in its efficacy.

Similarly to the operations at the Quarry site, you are also tasked with securing the site from potential threats. We expect there to be some resistance on this mission. As before, you are cleared to engage at will.

As you can see from our surveillance images, the site is made up of two main lanes, each leading to a pair of Accelerators: AD and BC, respectively. Beware potential sniper fire if you decide to rush down either of these lanes, but remember that the scattered boulders, rocks and roots can be used for cover. Try not to crowd the area if you're attacking as a team, and use cover wisely! A well-aimed grenade can cause a lot of damage to a bunched-up team. A small path and a fallen hollow tree trunk connect the lanes, for easier transition between the two. We foresee these being potential chokepoints during a skirmish, so be careful!

There are several tight corners at The Arbor that can be prime locations for ambushes. We recommend using your Spectator Drone to observe these potential blind spots so you can build your strategy accordingly. If an enemy combatant is already set up, do not rush in! It would be wiser to find a way to counter a defensive position with a flanking strategy in order to take them out. If you are able to dig in and set up an ambush of your own, hold your ground and beware your flanks and rear, in case of future attacks.

Good luck out there, Operatives. Don't forget: Earth's future is in your hands.
