Operative Profile - KARL

Welcome back, Operatives!

We're back with another Operative Profile article about the weapons, skills and abilities of Lemnis Industries' team of deep space explorers. We will also be discussing some of the lore and backstory that have guided their lives up to this point. Lemnis Industries' team is made up of highly trained, highly specialized individuals. From soldiers to scientists, they have been brought together by Lemnis Industries to help save humanity from utter extinction.

Today we are introducing the team's most unique individual (considering it is non-biological), the Model KR-L95 android, a.k.a. KARL. This model represents the latest innovations in bi-pedal security AI, designed to take on multiple roles depending on the situation at hand. This versatility is all thanks to the hard work of Lemnis Industries' Robotics division, who repurposed this particular model from its original intended use as a security drone.

Although several operatives were skeptical of KARL's inclusion on the team, it has proved to be a valuable assets thanks to its advanced weaponry and abilities. Being a robotic entity, KARL does not need to breathe or eat, and can perform operations that would otherwise be dangerous or outright deadly to its human counterparts. As long as its AI core persists, KARL can easily be rebuilt, or placed into a new body, by the scientists at Lemnis Industries. They haven't been able to do much about its personality algorithm, however, and its dry and unintentionally cutting remarks can often rub the other Operatives the wrong way.

A jack of all trades, KARL comes equipped with both offensive and defensive capabilities, providing effective support on the front lines or from behind. It's not a one man army, however, and is most effective when working together with its teammates. Its main weapon is the Precision Beam, a highly accurate energy laser that fires a continuous beam of energy. While it's lacking in overall damage output, it makes up for it with its surgical precision when fired at an enemy combatant. This lets KARL dispatch any stragglers that may remain after a skirmish.

What makes KARL an invaluable teammate is the Protection Orb. KARL throws a projectile that generates a domed shield at the impact location. This shield will disappear after a short amount of time, or after absorbing a fixed amount of damage.

The Protection Orb can be used in a myriad of ways: By deploying it near or in front of your teammates, it can save them from any incoming projectile. Fast and strategic deployment of the Protection Orb could even potentially bring dead teammates back to the timeline by blocking the attacks that originally killed them! If you need to prevent an enemy team from powering up an accelerator or destroying an objective, Karl's shield can hold your opponents at bay until your team can come in and eliminate them. You can even attach a shield directly to a fellow operative to give them protection. KARL has several Protection Orbs in his arsenal, so feel free to use them liberally.

From a tactical standpoint, KARL is an excellent support character. KARL can be deployed early in a match to set up temporary cover points for future rounds, to provide early misdirection, or to quickly capture a point or objective. In the middle of a match, its Protection Orbs and Precision Beam can help turn the tide by providing protection for his team mates and causing additional damage to the enemy team. Using a similar strategy towards the end of a battle could also help change the outcome, but at a significantly higher risk if you can't change your strategy in subsequent turns.

We recommend experimenting with KARL's abilities in order to figure out what works best for you. Surgically removing your enemies while protecting your allies, this remarkable teammate is a great addition to any team composition you choose for a mission.

We hope you've enjoyed this introduction of KARL, which ability is your favourite? Can you already devise ways to utilise KARL's skill set to dominate the time loop? Let us know below! We'll continue to share more about the other operatives in this series over the coming months so we look forward to seeing you there. Site Surveillance - Quarry

Greetings Operatives!

Welcome to the Quarry, one of several off-world sites used by Lemnis Industries in their project to save humanity.

The Quarry used to be an old transport location that's been repurposed after catching the attention of Lemnis Industries' probes during the early stages of the project. Scans revealed a large volume of unknown materials underground, materials we now know as Exotic Matter, or XM. Upon arrival, you are tasked with retrieving XM for transportation back to Earth. XM is not in abundance and the success of the project depends on this valuable resource.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

In addition to retrieving the Exotic Matter you're also in charge of maintaining security at the location and securing it from any potential threats. Lemnis Industries have been receiving reports of temporal disturbances and strange events, even reports of attacks from unknown aggressors. The frequency of these incidents have increased, and Lemnis Industries have decided that the project is at a critical stage. Expect potential resistance as you carry out your mission. You are cleared to engage at will.

As you can see from the surveillance photos, the main mining site is located inside a crater. The facility buildings can provide you with excellent vantage points, giving you a decent view of what's happening below. Use these to provide each other with covering fire or to set up fire corridors in case you need to ambush anyone. Be careful and don't run into an ambush yourself, however! Watch your corners when entering buildings, in case there's somebody lying in wait.

XM can be found scattered around the area, both on top of buildings and on the ground. There are four main pods that you should try to collect, and you should grab as many as you can.

The main point of interest is the main hub of the mining site in the center of the crater. This is the likeliest point for skirmishes to break out. There's room for several combatants to engage with each other at once, and the walkways and rooftops above can provide excellent coverage if someone decides to post up there.

Good luck out there, Operatives. Don't forget: Earth's future is in your hands.

Operative Profile - Kapitan

Greetings Operatives!

Welcome to the first of several Operative Profiles focusing on the main Operatives in Lemnis Gate. In this series we'll be taking you through the weapons, skills and abilities of Lemnis Industries' team of deep space explorers. We'll also be discussing some of the lore and backstory that have guided their lives up to this point. Lemnis Industries' team is made up of highly trained, highly specialized individuals. From soldiers to scientists, they have been brought together by Lemnis Industries to help save humanity from utter extinction.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Today we are introducing the team's no-nonsense leader Roksana Ulvich, a.k.a. Kapitan. This former soldier has seen her share of combat, picking up not only a few battle scars, but also several commendations along the way. She's a dedicated veteran and her years of service have taught her that actions will usually speak louder than words. She is fully dedicated to her mission and to her team, and most comfortable with a gun in her hands and an objective to follow.

While the other operatives can be found indulging in their chosen hobbies during off-hours, Kapitan's main focus is, and always will be, the mission at hand. She'll usually be found engaging in target practice at the shooting range, perfecting her aim, or using Lemnis Industries' top of the line gym to keep herself in peak physical condition. She has little interest in camaraderie, but the team will follow her orders without question as her skills on the battlefield are second to none.

Until popularity contests are decided by war, Roksana's shoot-first approach won't earn her a lot of friendships. She claims to have had a husband once, but it's unclear whether or not they were a person or a gun, leading to a lot of speculation among the staff at Lemnis Industries

Traditional tools of the trade are Kapitan's trademark. Her Auto Rifle fires high velocity rounds in bursts and can be a great deterrent when engaging with a foe, whether you hit your target or not. There's always another bullet where the first came from. Her frag grenades are excellent against groups of enemies, potentially taking out several combatants with a single blast. Just be careful you don't hit your past and future selves in the process!

From a tactical standpoint, Kapitan is the team's all-rounder. She can be employed early in a match to quickly capture a point, or to provide some misdirection while you consider your long-term battle strategy. She can also be an excellent damage dealer in the middle of a match, picking off enemies quickly and efficiently with headshots and accurately thrown grenades. Similarly, employing Kapitan at the end of a battle can help you seize victory from your opponents by interrupting their plays and disrupting their strategies.

Whenever you decide to employ Kapitan, we believe she will be a valuable asset in any battle as you use her skills, weapons and abilities to their full extent.

We hope you've enjoyed this introduction of Kapitan. There is a wide variety of Operatives to play as in Lemnis Gate, and it's important to choose the right person for the right situation. We will continue introducing you to the rest of the game's Operatives in the coming months, so stay tuned to our social channels for any and all updates.
