TLS 0.43.2 Released!

Your game should now be updated to the newest version! See the blog post for more release notes:
https://the-last-sovereign.blogspot.com/2019/06/tls-0432-public-release.html

I hope everyone enjoys. ^-^

TLS 0.43.0 is in Beta Testing

Supporters on Patreon are currently playing the newest version of the game, which means that it will be coming to Steam soon! The typical beta testing time is one week, but since this update is larger than average I can't be certain of that.

TLS 0.43.0 Notes:
  • Large new segment covering the first part of the war.
  • Simon's healing skills have been improved (linked to his SP rate). With the right equipment, this can be significant.
  • Orcent has new bust images thanks to Lamsey and Megail has a new sprite thanks to Decanter.

Update Intro

Though I didn't want to repeat myself with war events, this update doesn't skimp on the split party tactics and strategic decisions you'd expect:

But beyond that, this event will resolve a large number of plots that I've been building up throughout this chapter, possibly not in the way you're expecting:

You'll also see some people who haven't shown up since the second chapter of the game:

And I'll leave Yarra to close out with a line that makes perfect sense in context:

Thanks for playing!

TLS 0.42.0 is in Beta Testing

Hey, everybody! This is my first time doing an update after bringing TLS to Steam, so let me explain the usual pattern for everyone who doesn't know how the game's development works.

When I finish a new section of the game, it's first sent to my supporters on Patreon. This beta usually lasts for a week (two weeks if the update is an unusually large one), then the newest version of the game goes public.

If you're already supporting me, you know where to find things. If not, then just consider this an update about the upcoming new content. ^-^ Here are the patch notes:

TLS 0.42.0 Notes
  • Plot advances with a trip back to Stenai.
  • Upon return from Stenai, multiple events and a dungeon prepping for the next section.
  • The optional challenge dungeon in New Givini is now available.
  • Two new scenes.
  • New investment cycle. Includes a new investment on Succubus Acceptance paths that involves a new scene.
  • A new slate of research options is unlocked, and you have a new research project available.
  • Depending on your research choices, Robin may have a new scene.
  • Four new pieces of customized equipment can be created.
  • Simon now has bust images (both green and black outfits) thanks to Lamsey.
  • A conversation between Altina and Riala about the events in the first chapter has been added retroactively (it isn't accessible in current content).

Update Intro

After spending a while rewriting the end of the chapter to my satisfaction, I'm prepared enough to lay the foundation for the big final conflict. This update also includes a decent amount of side content that I worked on while I was spinning my wheels on the core plot stuff. For example...

That 5,000,000 ProN investment? It leads to an optional dungeon, and I think it's one of the nastier ones I've designed. I put a lot of work into this to try to require more strategies than normal.

There's also a new dungeon to help gather materials, including a new mechanic I hope will be fun. But don't think this update is all secondary concerns...

You'll revisit Stenai because it's time to make a major decision about the upcoming war. After impending for a while, it's happening starting in the next update.

I don't want to repeat the Third Arclentian War, so I've tried to design a major event that is satisfying while having a different flavor. Meanwhile, I hope everyone enjoys the update!
