Current State Of Madland
As people played the game it's been more then over a year of it's release. And we all collectively noticed quite a few problems with it. Madland lags hell a lot unless you have a super computer. Some levels are cheatable, invisible walls that distract from the experience. Some parts of the game it's not well explained what to do next or how to pass to the next location. the enemies don't have the best AI.
Now I wanted to make an update and fix all these problems way back when the game came out. The reason I couldn't do that was the fact that all my game files were on a separate hard drive, and very unfortunately the hard drive broke a couple weeks after the release. I was glad it didn't happen before the release or else the game wouldn't be even out to exist. Although I hate the fact I can't update it.
However I might be able to update it in the future. I brought the broken hard drive to a fixing store to get all the data out of it, but the staff told me it would cost 1000$. Yes, so technically I could pay and get all the data and then make an update. But to be honest 1000$ is a lot of money for me, as most of you don't know but I was even homeless for more then a month during the development of this game. I am fine now, renting out a room, thanks for asking.
So in conclusion, the game brought way less money then I have spent which is okay because I did it for fun and in that case spending another 1000$ to make an update for not such an amazing game I thought would be a bad idea.
But I had a better idea. Instead of doing that, I have started working on a new project which so far isn't lagging and has way better gameplay and quality. I don't want to say anything else about it for now. Further into the development I will release some kind of trailer or news about it. I will also be looking for beta testers so if you will be interested in being one, contact me. I am bringing my apologies to those of you who didn't like the game, and putting all my efforts on the next project to make up for it. I am extremely excited for the next journey and I would be glad to have you on this ride with me.
Sincerely,
Metal Source Studios
