Performance and bottlenecks

Hey there girls and guys,

Some of you told me that even with good computers there are framedrops and I have checked everything out to see what is causing the issue.

It is nothing that is graphics related this is very clear by all of my tests.

Here are the bottlenecks to get you informed where I will do my focus next:

- The AI is causing a huge impact and I have to do some reworking there
- When the player is moving, frames also drop a bit

Not much but a huge impact is coming from those things and I will work on them now.

Dirext X11 issues finally fixed

Hey there girls and guys.

The Direct X11 error is finally fixed and you can play as usual.

Important: If you play on direct X11 you have to set the new "Lightning Method" setting to none to improve Performance since Lumen is a feature for Direct X12


Sorry that you had to wait so long to play, but now you can finally do it.

Re.Poly Version 0.8.0 Hotfix

Hey there girls and guys.

I fixed some bugs and the direct X11 issues should be solved as well as the performance issues.

I am sorry that I made a big mistake with this in the last update and hope you like what you see.

Additions:

+ Added graphics option: Lightning method (You can select between Lumen and normal lightning method. Using the normal lightning method removes the darkness out of caves and indoor and is less realistic)
+ Added: Titan Ingot (Blast Furnace)



Changes:

- Changed: Nails can be crafted in the anvil too
- Changed: Wooden Club, Campfire and simple bed are unlocked by default to give you a better start
- Changed: Resources will be gathered when a tree/rock etc is fully destructed
- Changed fauna models to increase performance



Fixes:

- Fixed: Direct X11 players have huge performance hits
- Fixed: Direct X11 is not supported
- Fixed: Chinese language has no letters
- Fixed: Female Fiber Hat bug (Floating in the air)
- Fixed: Taking equipment ou of a chest etc will add it to your inventory and still stay in the storage
- Fixed: If two or more players are open the research table and one is learning something it will refresh all player windows
- Fixed: Learning a blueprint in the Research table will set the window to the tools tab
- Fixed: When a mount is unlocked the mount is still listed to learn
- Fixed: Reincarnating a mount will not update the window correctly
- Fixed: When taking a shield on or off the quickbar you will notice a shield stucked to your character
- Fixed: AI is popping out the screen
- Fixed: Skeleton is T-Posing when getting hit
- Fixed: Glass foundation steps extension is made of stone instead of glass
- Fixed: Iron foundation steps extension is made of stone instead of glass

Direct X11 problems and performance issues

Hey there girls and guys.

The Direct X11 version of the game have a bad performance and some of you have informed me about it.
I am working on this issue right now so no worries you will be heard and I will find a solution for you. It will just take a little time.

Re.Poly Version 0.8.0

Hey there girls and guys.

The first update after the big anouncements is here. You will notice a overall optical change in the game and I hope you like it.

Because of the fact that Villagers are not working as intended I decided to took them out for now and put them back in a later update.

Goblins will walk all over the green lands now because some of you have said it is too easy, so here is the challenge for you :P


In the next update I plan to work on better breeding animal mechanics and implementation of lots of more places to explore, so stay tuned :)




V 0.8.0 Patchnotes


Additions:

+ Added gold armor set
+ Added titan Armor set
+ Added: Information to the mallet menu to see what the symbols are for (Like destroying, upgrading or moving)
+ Added: right clicking a blueprint in the crafting menu pins the blueprint to the player screen to get better track of the resources you have to farm for it


- Removed: Villager related content (For now)


Changes:

- Changed: All flora meshes are changed to realistc/poly styled meshes
- Changed: changed all models into higher poly models
- Changed: Enemies can get knocked back from your attacks by a 50% chance. It depends on how big the enemy is and which weapon you use
- Changed: Goblin and Skeletton meshes
- Changed: Reduced the crop plot slot to only one slot for seeds
- Changed: Placing seeds into a crop plot will seed all available plant spots
- Changed: It is possible to climb building parts now
- Changed: Reduced indoor darkness (It is a bit brighter now)
- Changed: Gems that are attached to weapons/tools will be displayed to see which item has a gem in it
- Changed: It is now possible to write text on chests directly so no signs are needed to attach
- Changed: The Buildings in the main village do not have to be rebuilded anymore
- Changed: The Quests in the main village can be accepted directly
- Changed: The Research Table is readded and it will be needed to unlock blueprints
- Changed: Workstations, Decorations etc have to be crafted in order to be placed. Only build parts can be builded via the building menu
- Changed: Twig building parts will need fiber instead of ropes
- Changed: Wood building parts do not longer need nails to be build



Fixes:

- Fixed: It is possible to charge the big fireball while evading
- Fixed: Blocking with the staff will not stop charging the big fireball
- Fixed: it is possible to sit on a chair while being mounted
- Fixed: It is not possible to jump while in spear/battleaxe throw mode
- Fixed: It is possible to change the weapon while in throwing mode
- Fixed: Enemies can shove the player away when they attack
- Fixed: Villagers do not get damage from projectiles or magic
- Fixed: Dublicating seeds when drag and drop a seed from a crop plot slot
- Fixed: Plant and crop plot performance issues
- Fixed: Chickens will instantly lay eggs when taking out of the chicken coop
- Fixed: Beards will clipping through the character when the body weight is set to higher values
- Fixed: The game is running at very low FPS after some gameplay and saving/loading much
