Minor update 4.16 - Mars Returns


Minor update 4.16 - Missing Mars garden has returned

+ In the last patch we noticed the Mars garden was not showing up in the primary simulation. This has been fixed.
+ In the dinosaur tooltip when a dinosaur has not been purchased it states 0 fossils per second, now it shows how much you will earn after purchasing the first dinosaur .
+ After the first sim reboot there is a Semblance node on the tree to help explain the Singularity event.
+ Mesozoic Valley dinosaurs evolution branch now unlocks before the singularity. Unlock a little before tetrapod.

We are also going to be starting an open beta for the next dinosaur update later this week. This beta will be testing a set of new Rare card, additional dinosaurs and more achievements to unlock. Keep an eye out for the beta testers announcement later this week.

Patch 4.0 - 2 New Dinosaurs, 40 New Achievements!

This patch expands on the Mesozoic Valley, adding some new dinosaurs and evolutionary traits, specific dinosaur achievements, and bug fixes.

[h3]Darwinium not available Issue[/h3]
For the past 5 days there has been an issue with players not being able to purchase Darwinium. This patch should fix that issue - we wanted to get it fixed sooner but we had some open dinosaur issues that we were also trying to fix and wanted to release them all in one neat patch.

[h3]Achievement system update[/h3]
We also have made major changes to the achievement system. There are 40 new dinosaur achievements, two for each major dinosaur. We also fixed the bug where people were not getting their Steam achievements.

[h3]10 new ranks and 2 new Dinosaurs.[/h3]
We know some player have already finished all 32 ranks! You guys are fast. This version has additional ranks with 2 new dinosaurs and 4 more evolution trait cards. To include these dinosaurs, we've also modified the dinosaur garden, which now includes a beach and an ocean!

[h3]Clicking now produces more the 1 fossil [/h3]
Tapping will now scale to your production generated per second; this should cut down on some of the confusion from the initial update. There is also a new Rare evolutionary trait that will increase your tapping power.

+ Sound effects on dash panel open + close + start up sequence sound effects
+ Arabic text alignment fixed
+ Fixed getting stuck on rank 32 if you had already been grinding on that rank
+ Fixed bug where you can skip rank up card mission by leaving and returning to the Dino simulation.
+ Added cap to evolutionary card preventing ranking up a card and not getting anything.
+ Fixed double counting for missions
+ Reduced rate of checking achievements
+ Fixed bug where achievement system was causing some progression issues

We've been testing for the last week but this update makes a lot of changes, so please let us know if you encounter any issues. Leave comments on this post to make us aware of any bugs - the sooner we know about them, the sooner we can fix them.

We have an update with more ranks and dinosaurs, however before we push it live we need beta testers to bang against the latest build and check for bugs. There is some risk to you save so if you are worried about then maybe don't join the beta. We have tested the save system and it works on our end but I have to make the warning.



[h2]What am I testing?[/h2]

We also have made major changes to the achievement system. There are 40 new dinosaur achievements however we needed to make a few non trivial changes to the internal workings of the achievement system, so that they would work in both the Main simulation and the Mesozoic Valley. Additionally we had reports of players not getting achievement on their steam account that should be fixed in this patch.

We have been busy working on additional ranks and dinosaurs. We know some player have already finished all 32 ranks. This version has up to 41 ranks with an additional 2 new dinosaurs and 4 more evolution trait cards.

For a while we have been meaning to get tapping more inline with the production values for progress bar generation. Tapping will now scale to you production generated per second. There is also a new evolutionary Rare trait that will increase your tapping power.

[h2]How do I help test?[/h2]

Right click on Cell to Singularity and click properties.


Click the drop down and select beta , no password is needed.
Then exit the window and the beta should start to update on your steam. If the game does not update right away you might have to log out of steam and log back in.

I know people are excited about getting back to the out space beyond section, we are too. We still have a lot of work on the dinosaurs to get those feeling great so that's our development priority at the moment.

Patch 3.70 - You can now CLICK with your Keyboard

This patch fixes a few game-freezing bugs and also improves a few features. More ranks for the end of the Mesozoic Valley are coming soon.


For laptop trackpad users- we noticed that clicking can get tiring, so we have implemented a wonderful solution. You can now use the SPACE BAR and other keyboard keys to collect entropy, ideas or fossils! Double your output by using the mouse and space bar at the same time! Which might make the shooting star ultra powerful.

3.70 patch also includes:
- Another pass on the UI for the generators. To make it more clear on how much production you will gain.


- Added Reality Engine unlock for completing dinosaur.
- Arabic language is now right justified.
- Achievements are displayed correctly in Arabic.
- Mutagen purchases require a pop-up confirmation before buying.
- Bug fix on shark unlocking that would freeze the game.
- Bug fix on dinosaur achievements that were locking up the game.
- Trophy relocation with added information about this month's new art contest!
- Steam Achievements that you earn off line will show up when you come back online.

- Fixed social links they we not working
- Fixed rouge achievement when clicked freezing the game.

Mesozoic Valley: Quality of Life Improvements

Hope everyone had a great holiday, and thank you for playing the Mesozoic Valley! We're all back from break and ready to give you more dinosaur features. We're also working towards stabilizing some bugs that were released in the original dinosaur launch.

This patch (3.68) features:
- A new dinosaur tutorial when unlocking the Mesozoic Valley.
- Fixed number of epic cards earned from Gold and Diamond Geodes.
- Dinosaur Income bar now shows the correct amount earned.
- Fixed Bug where Diamond Geode would give free trait cards.
- UI improvements.
- Added a message when players reach Rank 32.
- Added story artwork.
- 2X Boost shows correct amount of time for boosting.
- Chinese font is now easier to read.
- Fixed text alignment issue in Russian translation.

For the players who have already reached Rank 32, we're working on additional ranks and a new prestige mechanic to be released soon.
