Playtest now live! - To celebrate The Quintessential Yogscast Games Sale

Hello Morpers!

We are excited to announce our next playtest in celebration of the The Quintessential Yogscast Games Sale and the full launch of fellow Yogscast games title Landlor's Super!

New Update! (v0.8)



We coded, we fixed, we coded more, and we delivered! The new version is here! 0.8.1 to be specific! Come and get it!

Find "Join the Time to Morp Playtest" on the main page of the game, and press "Request Access" (you will get it immediately).



[h3]What to expect from the game?[/h3]
Current version of the game is v0.8, meaning that nothing is final and there is little content to play with. So expect missing mechanics and some imbalance, but you should be able to get the feeling of the game and have fun for several hours!

[h3]For how long the Playtest will last?[/h3]
We will close the playtest on March 9th to go through your feedback and then shift our focus back to development.

[h2]Patch Notes (v0.8)[/h2]
In this patch we fully reworked how late-game mechanics work, as well as expanded on Liquid production and transportation. We also updated Player Customization, visuals for NPCs, and added long requested feature: Scan! You can finally find anything on the map! How awesome is that?!

NOTE: Old save files (from v0.7) won't work with the new patch (v0.8)!

  • New Tech: Laser Heater, Water Stove, Smart Sprinklers
    New liquid resources and recipes, adding more automation around water
  • New Mechanic: Scan
    Ability to find any Resource/Morp on the Map
  • Polluted Deposits reworked
    Reworked Pollution, allowing for more straight forward automation
  • Player Customization 2.0
    3D faces, gadgets/costumes/glasses, more variations/colors
  • Morp Wiki 2.0
    Progression for unlocks, contains Resources/Environment, possible to show "Related Entities", Diet/Production for Morps, and so on.
  • Chat 2.0

[h2]Patch Notes (v0.7)[/h2]
This time we focused on most requested features: Key Remapping and new Action Bar! Not only you can customize your key presses, but you can customize your building and resource hotkeys for more convenient play. We also reworked what Morps require from their areas by adding new feature: Area Themes.

NOTE: Old save files (from v0.6) won't work with the new patch (v0.7)!

[h3]New Features:[/h3]
  • Area Themes
    Areas now have Themes: Home, Beach, Forest, etc. This simplifies Morp UI, yet adds additional complexity and automation to Areas.
  • Action Bar
    Buildings, Resources, Gadgets and Decor can now be added to Action Bar for faster and easier access.
  • Keys Remapping
    Ability to change Key Bindings and customize your controls
  • Audio Reworked
    Half of the sounds are reworked/improved, dozens of new sounds added, 3 New Music tracks.
  • Early Game Rebalance
    It should be easier to collect mandatory resources, decreased amount of watering and overall wait time required in early game.

  • New Quests, Tutorials, Research
  • New Buildings (Signs)
  • Pump Popups show only unlocked Morps
  • Collisions with Environment (no longer possible to walk through Trees)
  • Bug fixes / UX improvements

Time to Zipline! (v0.6)

Current version of the game is v0.6, meaning that nothing is final and there is little content to play with. So expect missing mechanics, some imbalance, absence of key rebindings and lack of cool animations on every click, but you should be able to get the feeling of the game and have fun for several hours!

[h2]Patch Notes (v0.6)[/h2]
In this patch we wanted to add better ways of transporting resources across your base, as well as introduce first traveling feature - Ziplines! We also added a bunch of tools - Gadgets - to smooth out some irregularities in gameplay.

NOTE: Old save files (from v0.5) won't work with the new patch (v0.6)!

[h3]New Features:[/h3]
  • Ziplines
    New buildings: Zipline Pole and Drop/Pickup Stations. Should help transport more resources across longer distances.
  • Extractor
    New building to sink your resources in. Unlocks recipes for Gadgets.
  • Gadgets
    Small one-time-use tools to help smooth your gameplay experience or solve some situational problems.

[h3]Improvements:[/h3]
  • Building on resources will collect them
  • Inventory fully reworked (With slots, stacks and resource management)
  • Chest is reworked (To align with inventory changes)
  • Lost and Found chest (If you lose any important resources, you can find them here)
  • New Flowers to find and collect (Contains resources for Gadgets)
  • Bug fixes / Stability improvements / UX improvements
