A Good Day to Die!

Lift your bat’leth and cry for glory, as you join the fight during the “A Good Day to Die” Event! This event will include multiple TFO activities, allowing players to choose their favored way of fighting with or against the Klingon Empire each day, while earning Daily Progress toward a new grand prize reward.

Participating in this Event will progress you in Event Campaign VIII and give all players the opportunity to earn the Klingon Executor’s Arsenal (Space Weapon Bundle) for their entire account! Keep reading for details on these items, how you can participate in the Event, and what additional prizes may be earned.
A Good Day to Die – Activity Details
Six existing activities will be participating in this Event:

Defense of Starbase One – Space TFO
The Klingons very nearly overran the Federation in the 2250s. Simulate the defense of Starbase One from attacking Klingon fleets in this pivotal historical battle.

To Hell with Honor – Space TFO
Assault the surface of a moon in the Beta Lankal System, where J'Ula's rebellion is building additional ships for their clandestine fleet. This is your chance to deal a telling blow to this upstart before they can build further strength. Onward for glory!

Battle of the Binary Stars – Space TFO
To best understand the combat tactics of 23rd century Klingons, the Federation and Klingon Empire have worked together to build a simulation of the Battle at the Binary Stars, based on field reports and data taken from that conflict.

Remain Klingon – Space TFO
As the battle between J'Ula and J'mpok rages on the surface of Qo'noS, the crews on both sides were left to continue the battle in orbit. This is their story.

Operation Riposte – Space TFO
Liberate Priors World from the Klingon Empire.

Best Served Cold – Space TFO
Stop Captain Aakar's attempt to liberate prisoners from the Klingon Prison on Rura Penthe.

Players will be able to earn their Daily Progress once every 20 hours by completing the TFO of their choosing. Either of the above TFOs may be played as much as you like each day, so pick and choose how you prefer to gain Progress each day, and mix it up as much (or as little) as you like!
A Good Day to Die – Event Rewards
Accruing a total of 14 Days’ worth of Daily Progress will allow you to claim the Grand Prize of the A Good Day to Die Event. This reward includes all of the following:
  • Klingon Executor’s Arsenal (Account Wide Reward)
    • Once earned, every character on your account will be able to claim these unique Space Weapons. Keep reading for complete details on this Space Weapon Bundle’s capabilities.
    • Other characters on your account may visit the “Reclaim Rewards” store interface to pick up their Space Weapons once you have collected this on any character.
  • 3x Featured TFO Reward Boxes (Single Character Reward)
    • Each gives a choice of 1x Specialization Point or an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade.
  • 25,000 Dilithium Ore (Single Character Reward)
    • Issued immediately for use as you see fit!
(Note: The Featured TFO Boxes and Dilithium Ore are only rewarded once, to the first character on your account that claims the Event Grand Prize.)
Reward Details: Klingon Executor’s Arsenal
Completion of this Event will grant you these Space Weapons!

These dangerous armaments have the capability of striking exactly where it hurts, being able to execute weakened smaller enemies or dealing major damage to weakened stronger ones.

The weapon bundle includes three different starship weapons:
  • Klingon Executor's Dual Disruptor Beam Bank
  • Klingon Executor's Dual Heavy Cannons
  • Klingon Executor's Photon Torpedo
Both of the Energy weapons have an additional effect on enemies that are below 20% hull capacity:
  • Chance to instantly execute low-rank enemies
  • Chance to deal a % of Max Hull to high-rank enemies
Whereas the Torpedo will benefit from additional Bonus damage, depending on the current Hull capacity of your targeted enemy (higher Bonus, the higher their current Hull %).
Bonus Rewards
After claiming the Grand Prize, you will unlock the option of earning additional Dilithium Ore each day that you continue participating in the content associated with the A Good Day to Die. Each day you earn the Daily Progress you will be automatically granted a bundle of Dilithium Ore.

This bonus reward will begin at 8,000 Dilithium Ore for the first day’s completion, then scales up with each subsequent bonus completion that you achieve. The more you play, the more you continue to earn!
Zen Buyout Option
For players interested in instantly completing the A Good Day to Die Event – whether that is due to worries over finding the play time to complete it, or simply wanting to move immediately into earning Bonus Rewards – we will be offering a method for buying out.

Within the Event UI, an option will be presented that allows you to purchase the remaining progress that you need, for a scaling amount of Zen. The base price for this service will be 2,500 Zen, but every single Daily Progress that you earn will reduce that price on a percentage basis. Thus, if you have already earned 7 Daily Progress (half of the 14 required), this price will be reduced for you down to 1,250 Zen. The more you play, the cheaper the Buyout Option becomes, dynamically!
Event Campaign VIII
This Featured Event will be the second of a series of upcoming Events that will participate in the eight installment of our multi-event system known as an Event Campaign. Throughout the year, you’ll have the chance to earn progress in six events to earn the Grand Prize: A Tier 6 Infinity Promotional Ship of your choice, Two Free T6 Zen Store Coupons, AND 1500 Lobi!
  • Players may earn 50 Event Campaign Progress for each day they participate in an eligible event.
  • Buying out an eligible event will include up to 700 Event Campaign Progress.
  • Each event’s buyout only grants as much Event Campaign Progress as is relative to the amount paid, after pro-rated discounts are applied. This means that paying half price, (because you participated in 7 out of 14 of the required days so far) will grant you 350 Event Campaign Progress. Essentially, you get what you pay for.
Legacy Progress
As with previous Events, we will continue offering the opportunity for players to utilize their old Event tokens to apply toward this Event. To access this functionality, select the “Legacy Progress” button on the Event UI. This button will only be visible to players that have tokens available to trade in.
Availability
The “A Good Day to Die” Event will begin on PC on March 17th, 2026, and run for 3 weeks before concluding. Meanwhile, it is expected to appear on Consoles starting on May 5th, 2026, and run for 3 weeks before concluding.

The Klingon Empire Wants You!

The Klingon Civil War is over, and true-hearted warriors are needed to ensure a glorious future. All Klingons worthy of the name must join the fight!

The Empire has redoubled its recruiting efforts, and from the shadows the most promising are redirected to a new path. New Klingon Captains will be known as Klingon Recruits, and they bring with them the backing of their shadowy patron. In 2021, the Klingon Starting Experience was completely reimagined, meaning that these Recruits will also have a completely reworked, modern starting story.

There will never be a better time to make a Klingon in Star Trek Online than during the Klingon Recruitment event, which runs from March 17th at 8am PT to April 7th at 12pm PT. Characters made during this time will be Klingon Recruits, and they will earn a host of new benefits and rewards to aid them in their leveling experience. Additionally, we're putting every Klingon item in the Zen Store on sale for 25% off, from March 17th at 8am PT to March 21st at 12pm PT. You can pick up ships, costumes, weapons and more, so go make sure your Klingon is ready to bring glory to you and your house!

Klingon Recruits are designed to emphasize the unique experience of being a warrior of the Empire. They have a number of advantages designed to close the gap that exists between new characters and characters that have been in Star Trek Online for years, all built around the glories of combat. But these Recruits have a secondary responsibility. Their mysterious patron is dead-set on removing Enemies of the Empire. After contacting Klingon Recruits during the tutorial, they are likely to move against these Enemies, attaching additional dangers and rewards to missions along the Klingon Storyline. Recruits who succeed against these Enemies will find themselves with a new T6 Bird-of-Prey that scales with their level. Each recruit’s own Transponder will give them details of their objectives.

Klingon Recruits will have a list of goals that they can achieve at any time, and completing these goals will see them rewarded with equipment, Marks, and other rewards. Many are not only beneficial to the Klingon Recruit, but to all characters on the same account. Completing story arcs will reward you with a unique Ground Universal Kit, completing Ambush Kills in space and Melee Kills on the ground will unlock a Starship Trait and Ground Personal Trait, and all three of these rewards can be shared for all characters on your account.

Klingon Recruits can only be created during the Klingon Recruit event. These recruits can be recognized by the Klingon Symbol next to their names. All Klingon Recruits will have an inherent bonus trait during the Klingon Recruit Event of periodically granting a cache of Dilithium Ore upon defeating enemies, a bonus which extends to your entire group—the Recruit’s mysterious patron appreciates the allies of their ally. This trait will only be available during this event and will be gone once the Klingon Recruitment event ends, so gather your Dilithium Ore while you can!

Additional rewards are gained by leveling up, playing through story content up through the Klingon Civil War story arc, and finding special Klingon Recruit objectives on certain mission maps. Many of the same things that players do while levelling their characters will earn Klingon Recruits improved rewards! Some highlights include:
  • T6 Scaling Bird-Of-Prey (Recruit and Account – See Below for More Details)
  • Starship Trait that provides windows of opportunity to Cloak safely during combat and improves rewards for doing so (Recruit and Account)
  • Special Bat’leth that scales as you perform Melee Kills (Recruit and Account)
  • Ground Personal Trait that provides scaling bonuses for Melee Kills (Recruit and Account)
  • Endeavor Perk Experience bonus (Recruit and Account)
  • Ground Universal Kit – Piezoelectric Execution Sceptre (Recruit and Account)
  • Very Rare Duty Officer with Crit Energy Weapons Officer Trait (Recruit only)
  • Unique Duty Officer and Admiralty Card (Recruit and account)
  • And lots more, including: Gear, Upgrades, Marks, Elite Marks, and Dilithium to help kick-start the recruit, as well as account-wide Marks, Elite Marks, Dilithium and Upgrades to share the glory!
M’Chla Refit Bird of Prey
With the recent return of some House Mo’Kai Warriors to the fold – previously lost to time and Aakar’s influence – Klingon engineers have gained a boon. Some of these warriors are engineers, who carry with them secrets of the ancient Klingon technology that guided the empire before the houses were united. They have combined this with the modern technology and ship design to make some startling breakthroughs, the first of which is the M’Chla Refit Bird of Prey. This ship, designed for new Klingon Recruits, is a breakthrough in technology that allows mass production on a scale the Klingon Empire had never before reached.

New Items in Mudd's Market

Mudd is adding three new items to his market! The T6 Typhoon Temporal Battlecruiser, the Beowulf Blade, and the Khitomer Defender Space Set will all be available starting March 10th! Additionally, all items in Mudd's Market (except Bundles) will be 75% off from March 10th at 8am PT to March 17th at 12pm PT!

Read on to learn all about these exciting items entering Mudd's Market.
Typhoon Temporal Battlecruiser (T6)
A massive battlewagon, the Typhoon Battlecruiser is the largest starship to emerge from Andoria’s Laikan Shipyards. One of several options considered in Starfleet’s late 2380’s rush to build “super capital” ships, the Typhoon was the smallest considered and passed over for the more graceful Odyssey-class to be Starfleet’s next ship of the line.

Briefly abandoned, the Typhoon’s rugged frame and powerful engines spoke for themselves as tensions escalated with the Klingon Empire at the turn of the 25th century. Though the Typhoon is large, it is still significantly cheaper to produce than an Odyssey-class Star Cruiser, and Starfleet planners recognized its potential as a vanguard flagship, using a mix of specialized equipment and ample firepower to lead squadrons from the front as a combat command ship.

Several Typhoons were rushed into service as conflict with the Klingons escalated, and they saw harrowing service during the subsequent string of conflicts that culminated in the Iconian War. Now, as Starfleet and the Khitomer Alliance sense a renewed threat looming from the encroaching and multi-dimensional Borg conflict, the Typhoon has undergone a sixth-generation refit and is ready to face another spate of “interesting times.”

This ship comes with a Commander Engineering / Temporal Operative Specialist Bridge Officer seat and a Lt Commander Tactical / Command Specialist Bridge Officer seat.
Beowulf’s Blade (Ground Weapon)
This powerful two-handed Sword is inspired by the sword of the same name in the Star Trek: Voyager’s “Heroes and Demons” episode! Utilizing the sword’s weight, whenever you use a finishing move, you break the enemy’s armor, making them vulnerable to additional damage!

Beowulf’s Blade's unique tertiary action is Grendel Slayer, a massive leap towards your target, which leaves your enemies stuck to the ground for a brief duration!
Khitomer Defender Space Set
This three-piece Space Set includes a shield, deflector, and engines.
Khitomer Alliance Regenerative Shield Array
The Khitomer Alliance Regenerative Shield Array is built for frontline combat and survivability. This helps you lead the charge and punish any who oppose you. To help with this, the shield has active sensors which track the current status of each facing shield. If any enemy's attack damages the hull below a downed facing shield, the sensors trigger an instant retaliation which blasts that enemy with an antiproton beam. Each facing shield must be regenerated up to at least 25% before being able to retaliate again.
Khitomer Alliance Hyper Impulse Engine
This unique propulsion system uses a rebuilt Hyper Impulse Engine as its base. The original engine was modified to make it perform more like a combat engine without sacrificing all of its greater thrust capacity.
This engine is modified to increase Shields Regeneration based on current throttle. It has a higher base speed and turn rate compared to standard Combat engines.
Khitomer Alliance Deflector Array
The Khitomer Alliance Deflector Array emphasizes shield durability, helping you dive into the frontlines by vastly amplifying your Shield Capacity and Shield Regeneration. To ensure that you are able to dish out punishment to any who dare to oppose you, it also provides bonuses to your Critical Hit Chance and Antiproton damage, the Khitomer Alliance's hallmark.

Two Piece Set Bonus

Equipping two pieces of this set gives you a bonus to Shield Regeneration and Shield Hardness.

Three Piece Set Bonus

Equipping all three pieces of this set grants you the power Coordinated Empowering Antiproton Field. By the factions' powers combined, you and your team get Cloaked briefly and gain empowered Shield Regeneration and Damage Bonus. Also, a damaging Antiproton field forms centered on you and your teammates, dealing damage to any enemy caught inside. The field's damage scales up with the amount of enemies inside the field.

Patch Notes for 2/26/26

In response to some release bugs found in the Aetherian Concordium Lockbox, all players will be able to claim a special compensation package from the Zen Store (in the "Promotions" tab) starting today at 10am PT. This will be available only for a limited time and may only be claimed once per account. It contains 10x Master Keys, 2x Ultimate Tech Upgrades, as well as account-bound versions of each of the following:
  • 1x Reward Pack containing "All Aspects Accounted For" Space Trait Unlock Token
  • Aetherian Concordium Vanity Shield
The previously missing items have been added to the Lockbox. Additionally, we are going to unbind all character bound Aetherian Kit Frames with this patch.
General
• Resolved a potential progression blocker in the episode during the hangar sequence with Dax, which could occur if all enemies were defeated instantly upon exiting the cutscene.
  • Added a console in the corridor preceding the Core Room to prevent progression stall. This console only becomes visible and interactable once progress is made inside the Core Room.
  • Elite Hazard Team Personal Shield: Added the missing modifier for the Epic quality tier.
  • NX Grappler: Removed the Starfleet Allegiance requirement from the non-dynamic NX Grappler, allowing it to be equipped on all ships. Additionally, you can no longer equip both versions of the item simultaneously.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the Scimitar's Battle Cloak to not trigger certain effects on expiration, if the ship had the "Singularity Distributor Unit" console equipped.
  • Fixed a typo in the description of the Orb of Possibilities.
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing the item "Promotional Master Key" (included in many Store Bundles) from automatically opening to grant one Master Key.
    • If you have copies of this item in your inventory, use the Right-Click context menu and choose "Use" to force them to become usable Master Keys.
  • The pet construct summoned from the kit module “Gleaming the Cube” is no longer able to use the ability “Claim Construct”.
  • Empersa Alliance MW Juggernaut:
    • Added the missing Alliance Cloaking Device.
    • Updated the Reward Pack description to accurately reflect the Starship Trait's duration (60 Seconds).
    • Resolved a visual issue that prevented several decals from appearing on the ship's lower hull.
  • “Belly of the Beast" TFO
    • Adjusted console collision bounds to ensure characters of smaller statures can reliably interact with them.
    • Interacting with the consoles to ask for aid from other players will now count toward the interaction requirements for determining potential AFK Penalties. (It previously did not.)
    • Slightly reduced the reach of the Apex’s Backhand attack, which he used to attack players during his roaming phases.
  • “Devil’s Heart” TFO:
    • Requirements to avoid AFK Penalty in this TFO have been made slightly stricter.

Patch Notes for 2/19/26
General
• Chimerans are adapting!
    • You will now see them gaining resistance to all damage types, once per damage type they receive.
    • They are now able to automatically retaliate when receiving Psionic Damage and are now extremely resistant to this energy type.
    • They are now able to Regenerate when receiving Toxic Damage and are now extremely resistant to this energy type.
  • Fixed an error in the drop tables that was preventing players from being able to receive the “Aetherian Vanity Shield” and “All Aspects Accounted For” (Space Trait) from the Aetherian Concordium Lock Box.
  • Fixed an issue where the levelless version Aetherian Armor (Lobi Store) was not providing the correct damage resistance passives.
  • The Trait Box containing “All Aspects Accounted For” now has an Energy Credit value.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the Event TFOs to not give a choice of all marks. Now they all grant that choice for the duration of the event.
  • Fixed a bug with the binding rules on the Aetherian Concordium Kit Frame. This will only affect newly obtained copies of this item and will not modify the binding rules of those already obtained.
