Patch Notes for 4/7/26
General
• Devil's Heart TFO has been re-enabled.
  • Fixed a restriction issue on the Aetherian Harmony that could result in an unusable version of this ship ending up in your inventory, if the reward pack was opened by a Klingon faction player without cross-faction flying.
    • Players should be able to “Use” these items to claim the ship, if they have them in their inventory.
  • Anniversary Bundle EV Suit: Fixed being able to upgrade the EV suit before level 60, locking players out from using it until they reach the appropriate level.
  • Endeavors requiring you to defeat Borg will now give credit for all Borg factions for both Space and Ground (Prime, Mirror, Control, Aetherian, Chimeran). Endeavors requiring you to complete Borg TFOs now also give credit for Royal Flush, Devil's Heart, and Belly of the Beast, in addition to the existing list of TFOs.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing "Belly of the Beast" to be a valid matchmaking option when selecting the "Random TFO" option (TFOs participating in the currently-running appointment event are always meant to be excluded from Randoms, for the sake of variety).
  • Resolved an issue on the Drexler where using Type 2 windows would cause floating windows.
  • Fixed a restriction issue on the Aetherian Harmony that could result in an unusable version of this ship ending up in your inventory, if the reward pack was opened by a Klingon faction player without cross-faction flying.
Empersa Lance Update
• Overcharged Antiproton Lance: Fixed a bug with the way we calculated the damage that was giving players max starting damage before applying bonuses and buffs.
  • Overcharged Antiproton Lance: Starting damage will rely more on Max HP. This caps at 640,000 HP.
  • Overcharged Antiproton Lance: Final damage will be affected less by damage buffs (Approximately 1/4 of the effect)
  • Overcharged Antiproton Lance: Damage will not Crit, not Reflect and will not benefit from flanking.
  • Overcharged Antiproton Lance: Ability is now affected by cooldown reductions from Spirit of Sacrifice and Eclectic Collector of Armaments.
  • Overcharged Antiproton Lance: Self-damage resistance has been changed from Half-Resistance (Approximately 50% of the effect) to Weak-Resistance. (Approximately 10% of the effect) Designer’s Note: Self-damage is not affected by damage bonuses.

Celebrate First Contact Day!

It's time to once again celebrate our first step into the stars. Happy First Contact Day!

Star Trek Online is pleased to once again invite you to join us for the First Contact Day Celebration starting on April 7th at 8am PT and continuing until May 7th at 12pm PT.

Join the festivities by competing with four other players to build and launch your very own Phoenix Rocket, travelling back to April 4th, 2063 to thwart the Borg’s efforts to prevent the historic event, or participating in a recreation of the Synth attack on Mars! Once per day, any activity will grant Daily Progress toward the Grand Prize. This year, we’re celebrating the history of Star Trek Online by giving you all a special prize: a new version of one of the first ships to ever be a part of our game, the Noble Intel Battlecruiser [T6]!

Keep reading to reveal what activities and prizes await those who join us to celebrate “First Contact Day.”
Manufacturing Dissent
Synth Wave returns! The Synths working on Mars have rebelled! Fight in orbit above the red planet, working with a team of fellow Captains to do as much good as possible before you are overrun in the Synth Wave TFO. The fate of Utopia Planitia hung in the balance, perhaps your insight will help us tip the scales if we are tested again someday.
Battle of Wolf 359
The Battle of Wolf 359 is now eligible for First Contact Day Progress! Experience one of the most disastrous battles in Starfleet history, the first fleet battle against the Borg at Wolf 359.
Visit Historical Bozeman!
The Borg continue their implacable advance, only this time the battlefield is across time, not space. Temporal abnormalities have prompted Daniels to slap together an away team to go back to mid-21st century Earth where the Borg have altered the timeline to ensure that they succeed in their previously foiled plan to stop First Contact between Earth and Vulcan.

Team up with Seven of Nine and discover what the Borg has done to alter the timeline, and then do everything you can to correct it. Just make sure not to do more damage to the timelines than the Borg already have.
Modelling Rocketry
Alternatively, if battling robot-zombies isn’t your cup of Earl Grey, you can participate in the good ‘ole Phoenix Rocket Launch competition. We hope you enjoy the friendly rivalry as you scramble to gather parts and assemble the best rocket under the watchful eye of enormous marble of Dr. Cochrane himself.
Event Rewards
Completing any of these participating activities once per day, per account, will earn you a First Contact Day Badge Box. Opening this box will grant players the opportunity to choose between 17 Comm Badges as account-wide unlocks. Once unlocked, these immediately become accessible from any Tailor for any Federation character on your entire account.

Daily Progress is also earned once per day, per account, for the first completion of either participating activity. Keep earning Progress to earn your way toward the completion of the First Contact Day Event. Upon reaching 20 days of Progress, you will become eligible to claim the Grand Prize! This includes the following items:
Special Requisition Pack - Noble Intel Battlecruiser [T6]
This special ship is a brand new Battlecruiser Sovereign, and comes with a beautiful remaster of the Noble Class from Star Trek Online’s launch. Read this ship blog for more details on this reward!

First Contact Day Bundle – contains all of the following:
  • 1x Captain Specialization Point (cannot reclaim)
  • 25,000 Dilithium Ore (cannot reclaim)
  • “Launch Toy Rocket” Social Device (Account Unlock)
  • Holo-Emitter – Phoenix Shuttle (Account Unlock)
Launch Toy Rocket
Celebrate the historic launch of the Phoenix year round with this special device! Upon activation, it places a model of the Phoenix in front of you, which quickly launches in the sky.
Holo Emitter - Phoenix Shuttle
A special Holo-emitter for your shuttles and fighters that will make your ship look like the Phoenix. This device has an unlimited duration, unlike those provided by the Ferengi.
Bonus Dilithium Rewards
Earning the Grand Prize from this event for every character on your account is as simple as participating in any of the eligible activities over the course of its run. But remember that completing the 20-day requirement isn’t necessarily the end of the rewards you can earn! Additional Daily Progress also grants you scaling Dilithium Ore bonus rewards, after you have claimed the Grand Prize. You'll receive 8,000 Dilithium Ore for each bonus completion.
Buyout
Players unable to find the time to complete the Event, or interested in rushing to complete their progress, will have the opportunity to purchase the remainder of their Daily Progress using Zen at any time. The initial pricing for this Event’s buyout will be 6000 Zen, but like all other recent buyouts, the price any player pays will be discounted based on the amount of Daily Progress you have already accrued.

We celebrate what we have, remember what we lost, and prepare for change to come. Wonder and challenge come in equal measure when the old order passes into the new. It begins with First Contact.

16th Anniversary Enterprise Starship Bundle

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

As the Star Trek legacy celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year, we at Star Trek Online have chosen to embrace this long and storied journey by theming our starship releases throughout this calendar year, and into early next, as a journey through the eras portrayed in Film and TV.

This journey begins with Earth's first fledgling journeys into the stars, aboard experimental warp-capable starships, in the era of Captain Archer and the NX-01 Enterprise. • In the Zen Store, the experimental weapon for the Suurok Intel Science Destroyer [T6] is incorrectly listed as the Experimental Railgun when it is actually the Experimental Hyperexcited Ion Stream Projector.

Patch Notes for 3/17/26
General
• Resolved an issue where the interactions between the Starship Traits "Constructive/Destructive Field Interference" and "Spore Infused Anomalies" could result in an unintended amount of damage procs. The explosion caused by Spore Infused Anomalies will now correctly engage only once per ability activation.
  • Concentrate Firepower will no longer modify the recharge time on Maelstrom Torpedoes, or any other weapon not intended to benefit from haste or recharge effects.
  • Updates to the "Vanguard Shield Shaping" Starship Trait:
    • Resolved an issue that caused certain abilities to apply multiple stacks upon activation.
    • Resolved an issue that allowed the damage bonus to stack indefinitely. The benefits from this trait can now stack up to a maximum of 4 times, with each activation refreshing the current stacks.
    • Updated the damage bonus to apply to all Torpedo Weapons and Exotic Damage abilities, regardless of damage type (previously only boosted Kinetic damage).
  • Resolved an issue that caused the triggered effects of "Feedback Pulse" to activate other effects normally reserved for the activation of Bridge Officer Abilities. The reflected damage no longer counts as a separate ability activation.
  • The "Console - Universal - Debris Screen" now features a hard cap of 500,000 on the amount of damage it can block and/or deal per activation.
  • Following this update, the “Borg Battle Royale” and “Wolf 359” Task Force Operations will once again be available to play.
