Development Update

Hello! Dark Data's story-mode campaign is still in full-time development! I know it has been a long time coming and I really appreciate all the support and patience. It's been a busy year. Had to update the game and audio engine to retain version control capabilities. This was a pretty daunting task in its own right. But, the juice was definitely worth the squeeze. It has allowed a number of performance improvements and other day-to-day development improvements. The goal is to release version 2 at the end of the year (2022)! Dark Data will be on sale for the rest of the week. Now would be a perfect time to snag it for a friend or have them wishlist it in anticipation of version 2.

Come hang out in the discord server here . We have been running internal beta tests on the multiplayer modes throughout the year. If you want to try it out and participate in the conversation, let me know in the discord!

Heyo! Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays and a great New Year! Dark Data's development is coming along great and unless I get smashed by a bus, or abducted by a giant eagle, 2.0 will be out Q1 2022. Ver 1 of the game will be on sale until January 5! Take it easy, and I'll talk to you all soon.

Hello everyone!

Version 2 is coming along great. I know that I, and everyone that has assisted over the years, are extremely excited to have Dark Data 2.0 out and in the wild! It's close, but there is still work to be done! This has been a passion project from the start and the desire to really hit the target has only grown over time. This has led to a gigantic extension on development time, but I know the end result will be worth it. I wanted to touch base with everyone and let you know that development is still full-steam ahead and all of your support has been immeasurably appreciated. If you haven't yet, join the Dark Data Lounge Discord. Dark Data will be on sale for the remainder of Steam's Halloween sale. I wish you all an excellent Halloween and will try to stop sucking so bad at community management.
