New Callouts, new Patrol Car, Wig-Wags, new Skins, and more – now in Open Beta!

[p][/p][p]Fellow Officers, [/p][p]Christmas is just around the corner and so is our final larger update before the holidays: Welcome to the December Update, now available in Open Beta and launching soon across PC, PlayStation & Xbox![/p][p]This update contains a bunch of frequently requested improvements, several fixes, and a wonderful set of fresh content for our officers.[/p][p]➡️ But now, let's take a closer look![/p][p][/p][h3]How do I join the Open Beta?[/h3][p][/p][p]But first, let's get the most important details out of your way: You want to try out the update before it releases? No worries, it's incredibly simple to join:[/p]
  1. [p]Open Steam and go to your Library [/p]
  2. [p]Right-click on Police Simulator: Patrol Officers [/p]
  3. [p]Click Properties [/p]
  4. [p]Select the Betas tab [/p]
  5. [p]Choose "Open_Beta" from the dropdown list [/p]
[p]Steam will now download the update. Once complete, you’re in! Afterwards, you can download the game to try out Update 22.0![/p][p]If you encounter any issues, please share them in the #police-beta-chat channel on our Discord. You can also use our dedicated Beta Forums.[/p][p][/p][h3]A whole set of new Callouts[/h3][p][/p][p]The December Update introduces two brand-new callouts, both requiring full attention by the Brighton Police Department.[/p][p]While a good party never hurt nobody, citizens are increasingly complaining about severe noise disturbance in many public areas. A good night's sleep is important – which is why we kindly ask you to investigate and bring back peace to everyone's ears![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Brighton Police Department protects the law and everyone's rights – and the First Amendment in particular is something we must uphold. All individuals shall express their opinions freely, but rules must still be followed. Unfortunately, some citizens decided to start protests without properly applying for a permit first. Such public disorder must be broken up peacefully by our officers.[/p][p]Please note that these new callouts, just as with the Mission Update, come without any voice-overs as recordings are yet to finish.[/p][p][/p][h3]Now available: The Brave Police Vehicle![/h3][p][/p][p]To enhance Brighton's fleet, a new patrol car will be added for free for everyone: Please say hello to the Brave Police Vehicle![/p][p]This patrol car is a versatile SUV that combines immense strength, great handling, and a sleek design.[/p][p]The BPV is based on our original concept for the APV, which received a lot of feedback during the initial reveal back in June. Based on that, we overhauled the APV, making it taller, longer, wider, and also adjusted the back, lights and the windows.[/p][p]The BPV is basically the prototype for the APV – but an original icon in its own right! Check out the BPV in the garage.[/p][p][/p][h3]Fresh looks for your patrol cars[/h3][p][/p][p]We're once again expanding our set of free patrol car skins! This time, we're pleased to introduce two wonderful liveries inspired by Chicago and Minnesota.[/p][p]Created in close collaboration with Agent, RicoBrzenska, and Kittyraww from the wonderful Catpaw team![/p][p][/p][h3]Wig-wags, faster car exits, and more![/h3][p][/p][p]First came a red-blue ELS, then the spotlights, and now we're including another frequently requested addition: Wig-wags are finally here! Activate them by holding the button you'd usually use to start your headlights.[/p][p]We've also increased the speed in which you enter and exit your patrol cars. When things get dicey, you should now be able to react much faster![/p][p]Oh, not to forget: We've also fixed several bugs and provided further polish for several parts of the Contraband Expansion.[/p][p][/p][h3]Some final words[/h3][p]That’s all for now! Contraband Expansion: Hotfix Update 21.1.3

  • [p]When being close to a specific area in the Border Stations, you now automatically receive callouts associated to these places[/p]
    • [p]This means, when close to e.g. the Primary Inspection Area, you automatically receive callouts for this area and won't have to wait until one eventually rolls out.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed CP Loss when denying entry at Primary Inspection[/p]
  • [p]Made it possible to arrest foreigners trying to enter the state while possessing drugs (it's now no longer causing CP Loss)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Biometric Kiosk not being interactable in the precincts[/p]
  • [p]Fixed not being able to interact with an NPC at Primary Inspection[/p]
