The Crime Scene Update is out now!
Patient officers👮‍♂️,
your wait is no longer! Rush to the scene now and make sure the evidence is safely secured: The Crime Scene Update is now waiting for you across all platforms! Oh, and we're now also Steam Deck verified!

You can now enjoy the highly requested crime scene improvements and be more involved in resolving crimes than ever before…

So far, as an officer you have been given a rather shallow approach to solving a crime scene in either knowing or not knowing about the suspect's identity. That changes now with the new Crime Scene Update giving you greater responsibilities and advanced, versatile tasks.

Officers, we are in need of your skills...

During “Car Patrols” you can get new and advanced crime scene callouts and are made directly responsible for the initial procedures and safety assurance as the first responder arriving at the scene.
Poles & Tapes⚠️
Stop right there, this is a crime scene! Creating a safe environment is a crucial element of police duty. With the new securing poles you now have a practical assistant on hand to secure a crime scene properly to prohibit potential compromise of evidence and calm down the scene for potential victims.

In terms of placing they are similar to cones: You can place them at the desired location on the ground by a simple button press while holding them in your hands. Tape automatically connects the poles you place, allowing you to keep the uninvolved away from the crime scene.

But how are the crime scenes visible in the dark? Wait.. is there something shiny back there? That’s right! Securing poles are reflecting light during the night for the sake of safety.

From the trunk of your patrol car you can access the poles and tapes and add them to your inventory when engaging a crime scene. Via the garage you can also assign them to the trunk itself!
Preserve the evidence🧬🔍
Our environment can tell us many things about the stories that people are involved in. Just as people leave traces, a crime scene can offer all kinds of different hints on what might have happened or what caused the incident.

As a police officer it is your responsibility to preserve, mark and document every piece of evidence that can be later used in court by other law enforcement agencies. Meaning, you play an important role in solving the crimes, of which crime scenes you investigate.

The brand-new evidence markers are assisting you with marking the evidence with numbers by being placed next to each item on the ground. To document these items you simply need to take photographs which are then advancing the progression at the scene. These photographs though have to be taken before any kind of change or interaction with the scene to not distort the evidence.

In order to find the suspect responsible for the crime you need to gather as much information as possible at the crime scene through documenting and investigating. You will quickly realize that a solid gathering of information is the key to finding, arresting and transporting the suspect successfully.

The Crime Scene Update is coming on October 19, 2023!
Fellow officers,
activate your sirens, rush to the scene and ensure evidence is secured: The Crime Scene Update is coming on October 19, 2023 to Police Simulator: Patrol Officers across all platforms!

With this update, we focus entirely on improved crime scenes which have been highly requested by players. Let's dive right into it!
Officers, we require your assistance...
A robbery? An assault? Up until now, the process of approaching a crime scene has been rather straightforward. You arrive, interview a witness and either you know who the suspect is, or you don't – and if you do, it's time to look out for the wanted suspect.

With The Crime Scene Update, your responsibilities will grow and your tasks will advance: With the new and advanced crime scene callouts, which can appear during 'Car Patrols', you are directly responsible for the safety and initial procedures as the first responder arriving at the scene.
Poles & Tapes
No trespassing allowed! To create a safer environment for all involved parties, especially potential victims, and to prohibit potential compromise of evidence, you must properly secure the crime scene. To assist you in this task, we're adding a new tool: Securing poles!

Placing the poles is fairly similar to cones: When holding them in your hands, it's just a simple button press to put them at the desired location on the ground. If you then place another pole nearby, a tape will automatically connect these poles, creating a barrier for NPCs who will now actively avoid the crime scene. Possibly the best way to keep the pertinent evidence uncontaminated, we would say.

You love shiny stuff? Yeah, so do we. That's why securing poles will reflect light during night shifts, all for the sake of safety! And because it looks cool. But please don't tell our bosses.

Poles and tapes can be accessed and added to your inventory via the trunk of your patrol car. You can of course assign them to the trunk itself via the garage!
Secure the evidence
Every crime scene tells a little story through its environment: What could possibly have happened here? Who was responsible for the mess? And why can't they just leave this little food stand alone, ffs?! Before you start your investigation, you are fully in the dark.

Your job is to help other law enforcement agencies to solve crimes by providing them with evidence that can later be used in court. That's why you need to secure, mark and document the evidence so that other parties can proceed with their work.

In your trunk, alongside the new poles, you will also discover brand-new evidence markers which can be placed next to each item on the ground. They will then be marked with a number and must be photographed with your camera, with each picture advancing the progression at the scene. This is important for your colleagues in Brighton as these photographs have to be taken before anything is touched, moved, or otherwise further investigated. The first shot of the evidence is very essential to confirm that no one has meddled with the crime scene, after all.

Here's what's cool: The more you progress with the documentation and associated investigation, the more information about the person responsible for the crime you receive! This will greatly help you during your search for the wanted suspect you need to find, arrest and transport in conclusion.
Introducing: The Multipurpose Police Vehicle
We're pleased to announce the Multipurpose Police Vehicle (MPV), a solid and sturdy choice for your next shift!

The Multipurpose Police Vehicle is the perfect next-generation police vehicle to keep Brighton safe! Not only does this car allow you to tug away civilian vehicles damaged in accidents or which are violating the law, it also increases the size of your trunk inventory.

The Multipurpose Police Vehicle will release on October 19, 2023 alongside the update at a small price of just 2,99€ / $2,99 USD or the equivalent in your region.
Stay tuned for more news!
Of course, we'll ship a lot more improvements, bug fixes and adjustments with The Crime Scene Update. We'll publish the full patch notes for the update on October 19, 2023.

The first streamers and content creators will receive full access to the update in the coming days and will be able to showcase the new features prior to release while the update is still in submission for a public release on all platforms. This way, you can already take a look at the content!

Thank you all for your support and we hope you're excited for the full update once it launches on October 19.

Now available: The Garage Update
Fellow officers,
Today, we’re happy to finally release The Garage Update, now available to all players of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers!

If you missed our last announcement post, here’s a recap of what to expect in this update:
The Garage 🏢
The police garage expands all precincts of the Brighton PD and serves as the main hub for each car patrol shift.
Parking Lot Management 🅿️
Manage the precinct’s parking lot: Four parking spots are available at each precinct, and you can adjust every single one of them. You have a favorite patrol car and want it to be the default patrol car of the PD? Just fill up all spots with the same model! You prefer to have some variety? Select different ones. The choice is yours.
Tool Management 🧰
Each patrol car has a specific capacity for carrying tools and that amount varies from model to model. Now you can freely decide which ones you want to bring along. Fill your trunk up however you want and assign the tools of your choice to the respective slots. You can even select the same tool in all slots.
Repair your Patrol Cars 🛠️
You had an accident? In the past, your patrol car was either slightly or even completely wrecked in the aftermath. That sucks! :(

But now, you can repair them in the middle of the shift and don't need to wait for the next one. You can either repair them quickly with the press of a button when standing in front of the garage, or do it inside.
Car Balancing ⚖️
We completely overhauled all the patrol vehicles and improved controls across the board. Please let us know what you think!

Experience the new update in our release trailer:
Introducing: The Compact Police Vehicle 🚔
Also releasing today is the Compact Police Vehicle (CPV), an incredibly cool new patrol car available as a separate and fully optional DLC! By purchasing it, you support the further development of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, and we're incredibly grateful for it! :)

Should you own the CPV, you gain access to it from your very first shift, even on foot patrols! This Compact Police Vehicle is authorized for driving in parks and along narrow streets, allowing you to move throughout Brighton quickly while ensuring law and order are always respected. Due to its adorable size, it also serves as an excellent photo opportunity for the city's tourism industry!

The Compact Police Vehicle is available at a small price of just 2,99€ / $2,99 USD or the equivalent in your region:
