Announcing: New languages coming to the game and other stuff we're working on!
Fellow officers,
so many of you have started patrolling through the streets of Brighton already, while others continue to enjoy the amazing gameplay videos of our beloved content creators. Work as a police officer isn't always easy, and the knowledge about all the technical details in order to act lawfully isn't always easy to grasp.

If you are not a native English speaker (and can not understand German or Chinese either), some things might therefore be difficult to understand. We've listened to your feedback carefully and have therefore begun working on additional languages, making the game more accessible in the process!
Which languages are coming?
We've looked at the most frequently asked languages and have therefore selected the following ones as our initial batch:

 • French
 • Italian
 • Spanish
 • Turkish
 • Polish
 • Brazilian Portuguese
 • Russian
 • Korean
 • Japanese
Awesome! When will they release?
We are currently aiming to speedrun the process and hope to introduce them to the game with THE NIGHTSHIFT WITH FRIENDS UPDATE, currently scheduled for Early Q3 2021. Of course, this is all subject to change (we're in Early Access, after all!) so that it might take longer - but we will tell you should that be the case. Right now, we're pretty optimistic!
Press F for other languages?
While the languages listed above are the ones we plan to localize officially, others are currently not part of our evaluation. However, we do plan to offer community translations - meaning, that we put up the original text on a platform and letting you, the community, take part in the translation process. This approach makes it possible - if the demand is high enough - to localize the game into less frequently spoken languages as well!

PSA: Voiceovers will stay in German and English. Only written text will be localized to the new languages.
Why can you offer these languages now? Why not from the start?
In Early Access, we plan to update the game quite with a high frequency which means that with every update, new stuff plus changes on existing texts would have to be localized into all languages.

Initially, we thought that this would incredibly hinder our rapid development process. However, we have started to reshuffle it a bit so that hopefully all works out in the end. Let's pray together!
What else are you working on?
At the moment, we are in the process of preparing the beta of THE BACKGROUND CHECK UPDATE, coming to the game (most likely) next week with a full release in early July. It will introduce a new district, a new car, and the board computer!

In addition, we are highly focused on minimizing the number of crashes and improve the overall stability of the game. Also, we are currently evaluating ways to adjust the balancing - meaning that you might be able to unlock stuff earlier. Of course, bug and localization fixes are also high up on our list.

You can follow our development process on our official Trello board which we update regularly. In addition, you can chat with the community on all our socials:

Hotfix Update 1.0.1
Changelog - Hotfix Update 1.0.1
• Fixed a fatal crash while managing an accident
Some additional words from the team
Thank you so much for your incredible feedback in the last few hours. Also, it's awesome to see how you guys interact with each other and provide everyone with useful help and tips - that's how real police work looks like!

We've just released a hotfix (version 1.0.1) to tackle the most severe issue you guys mentioned: A fatal crash, happening frequently at accidents.

Of course, we're already working on additional updates! There are other reasons for crashes we haven't quite found yet. That's why we need a lot more help from you! If you experience a crash, please head over to the following folder:

C: -> Users -> YOURUSERNAME -> AppData -> Local -> Boston -> Saved -> Crashes

You can quickly move to the AppData folder by searching in Windows for %localappdata%.

...and then send us the crashlog!

You can do that by contact us on our official Discord (best way is to send it to a Community Manager) or upload the file to Google Drive / Dropbox / etc and post the link in the comments below.

Thank you so much from the entire team!

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers is out now!
Fellow officers,
Starting today, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers is available in Steam Early Access! What a ride it has been... years of work, love and pixels went into this and we can't believe it's finally here.

As a little surprise and gift to you, the game is off 10% for one week and one week only - grab it while it's hot! 🔥

Where does the game go from here?
We have decided to go for early access with this title to involve you, the player community, early on. Meaning that we will develop the game further and further, based on your feedback. There are so many police fans out there who are looking for a game that will take their wishes and expectations into account. Creating a police game requires not only the complete simulation of a huge living city, AI characters, traffic, and a bunch of systems but also a huge number of duties, callouts, and interactions between the players and all those features and systems. Everything needs to be interconnected. So far, we have developed a game with all fundamental systems and its architecture in place, and already filled the open world with a lot of content and features that you will surely enjoy. Now, let us walk the rest of this exciting journey together and extend, iterate, and improve this game!

You can check out our official roadmap here.

Where can I send you feedback?
Everywhere.

The teams at astragon and aesir will hang around in the Steam Forums and respond to your questions.

You can also contact us via our official Socials! Our team will respond to your questions both in the comments and via DM.

We also have an official Discord! Here, both teams at astragon and aesir (plus awesome community members!) will respond to your questions!

Last but not least, you can also contact our technical support team via email, should you prefer that: [email protected]

Do you have a guide or something like that?
We have created a *huge* handbook with all details about... basically everything! Are you unsure if your decision is lawful? Do you need to double-check if something is a violation or not? We got you covered!

Check out the official handbook for our new police rookies for more details - of course, you can also find it in-game! Feel free to use it for the creation of guides, wikis, and other stuff as well. Highly welcomed by the entire team! :)

Okay, so, can I buy the game now?
Of course! Check out the store page for all details:
Fellow officers,
Today's the big day! Finally, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers will launch in Steam Early Access - and we're inviting you to celebrate with us in the right manner!

Today, we'll host a cozy Livestream ahead of launch - showing you the game, talking about the development process, answering your questions, and simply enjoying this wonderful day. It's sunny here in Germany, let's get the good vibes going!

The live stream will start at 3:30pm CEST (6:30am PST, 9:30am EST) and feature several members of the development team at Aesir interactive!

You can watch it...

Obviously, we would have loved to host a huge party... after all, we've been working on the game for so long, we kinda deserve it. But in times of Covid, we're staying responsible and are getting together in a smaller group of people - all negatively tested, of course!

The game itself will release at 5:00pm CEST - you can find all details here.

See you later, officers!
