Visiting Terscara Again - The Upcoming Update

Raise your weapons, Companions!
[p][/p][p]We are back with some great news today! As our company has evolved in the last months after the Early Access release of our flagship title Hotel Galactic we continue to work on, we found additional resources to return to Glorious Companions with a patch full of the fixes you asked for.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Starting later this week, the main developer responsible for the Glorious Companions launch in December, will be back in Terscara to fight all the bugs, quest issues, and optimization problems that you have encountered since the 1.0 release.[/p][p][/p][p]We plan to release the first update this month.[/p][p][/p][p]At the first strike, he will focus on the objective-related problems for quests such as:[/p]
  • [p]Axident[/p]
  • [p]Destroyed Transport[/p]
  • [p]Under Construction[/p][p][/p][p]And many more quests that need it.

[p]The main areas of improvement under Xandar’s observing eye will be optimization and calibration of certain game parameters, fixing quests to make them completable, and improving enemy AI through decision tree modifications and battle and exploration behavior scripts.[/p][p][/p][p]We hear your calling, Companions! Steam Achievements are on the list as well.[/p][p][/p][p]We cannot wait to return once again to Terscara. Refined & Reinforced – The Latest Improvements Await!

We've been hard at work refining your experience in Glorious Companions. This update brings important fixes, balance changes, and exciting new content![/h3]

[h3]🔧 Fixes:[/h3]
- Map icons are now properly localized.
- Fixed abilities that could break the game.
- Recruits can now be renamed correctly.
- Save playtime now displays accurately.

[h3]⚖ Improvements & Changes:[/h3]
- Rebalanced NPC encounters—expect a more appropriate challenge beyond the early game!
- Adjusted pickups & POI placements for smoother progression.
- Enhanced worldmap visuals with new animated elements.

[h3]✨ New Content:[/h3]

- New Offhand Items 🛡️: Players can now obtain unique offhand items as rewards for clearing vaults. These items provide you with the chance to fight with style!



- More Character Customization Options 🎭: Customize your mercenaries even further with new appearance options. With new skin tones, eyes and other tweaks, you’ll have more ways to make your companions stand out.

- New Loading Screen 🖼️: A fresh loading screen has been added to enhance immersion while transitioning between different parts of the game.



- Ambient Sounds in Cutscenes 🎶: To make the story moments more engaging, ambient sounds have been added to cutscenes, adding depth to the atmosphere.

- New Battle Maps with Obstacle Variants 🏰: Additional battle maps have been introduced, featuring new obstacle types that change tactical positioning and movement strategies. Expect more variety and strategic depth in combat!



- Seethrough Shader for Tall Obstacles 👀: A new shader effect has been added to battlemaps, allowing tall obstacles to become semi-transparent when they obstruct your view. This improves battlefield visibility and clarity during combat.

Patch notes 1.04 - 17.01.2025

Fixes:
- Misc UI fixes
- Fixed appearance of buttons in unit stats panel
- Fixed battle not triggering after failed test in IO
- Fixed dungeon quests rewards
- Fixed broken enemy company with only dead units
- Fixed battle related achievements
- Fixed EA clock item position in hand

Added content and improvements:
- Added posibility to exit dungeon mid-run to world map where player can save map or decide to abandon current dungeon run (keeping already gained exp/loot) to prepare better and try again
- Improved visibility of tiles on tundra battle maps
- First batch of enemy and player units balancing
- Improved failsafe teleporter for when character drops under the map
- Changed possible combinations for item enchanting
- Added unit stats tooltip in camp panel

Patch 1.03 - 10.01.2025

Fixes:
- Fixed game lag when exploring
- Fixed two broken cities in volcanic biome
- Fixed dialogue in Valrenay campaing ending too quickly
- Fixed issue with main quest not progressing after obtaining item from fight
- Fixed first second of outro cutscenes overlaying multiple scenes

Improvements and changes:
- Improved worldmap loading times by about 25% (depending on pc configuration)
- Reduced RAM usage by about 20%
- AI is now less focused on killing captain and will now target other more profitable targets (near death unit for example)

Added content:
- Added info panel for unit that is being currently deployed.
- Added posibility to select units in unit panel by using keyboard arrows or clicking on portraits
- Latest items obtained are now displayed as first in company stash
- Added filters for item types in flea market
- Added sorting option in flea market
- Added tooltips for enchanting and crafting
