Fixes for larger worlds

Version 0.5.8 is mostly a set of fixes to issues introduced in version 0.5.7. Hopefully this addresses most of the issues that larger worlds caused.

Thank you everyone who filed bug reports! They make fixes so much easier and faster.

  • Fix issues where world map was not properly displayed after leaving a dungeon
  • Fix world gen issue causing weird water placement
  • Fix some world map visibility issues
  • Fix town resurrection costing too many crystals
  • Fix some character portrait not rendering issues

Larger worlds

It's been too long since the last update, so I'm happy to finally get this out there.

The changes won't seem like much - world customization and larger fragments - but it's an important step in finishing off the core features.

Unfortunately larger worlds broke a lot of assumptions that much of the rest of the game had and broke many limits, which is why it took so long to release. There a still a few known issue in world generation that were caused by this change but game play braking and they're mostly related to aesthetics.

I expect the frequency of updates will be shorter from now on!

Quick fix for a broken build.

Version 0.5.5 was a bit broken - sorry! The breaking issues should be fixed with this patch.

  • Fix initial recruit screen
  • Light element lighting adjusted
  • Light avatar look minor adjustment
  • Heroes recovered from dungeons now go to nearest town

Difficult enough?

The 0.5.5 update brings the first set of proper difficulty levels, so you can take it a little easy or give yourself an "impossible" challenge! Custom difficulty will come a bit later one a few more settings have been hooked up to the difficult settings.

  • Difficulty settings are now fully enabled
  • Numerous tweaks to equipment prices
  • Fix tool tip windows going off screen
  • Fix for large stats getting cut off in player stats screen
