Weekly Report #25
Hello stalkers!
Today we have some more information for you about things that we’ve already mentioned before. So first, let us ask you: do you use stealth kills? Or are you just like Rambo and prefer to shoot your way out of every situation?
We have something just for you if you play cautiously, hiding in the shadows and taking out enemies one by one, or if you love mayhem and you leave a track of empty ammo shells behind every time.

[h3]Stealth can be a perfect solution[/h3]
As you may remember from a previous Weekly Report, we are working on the stealth kills system. If you’ve already used it, you probably realized that Igor loses his psyche when he kills his enemies. His mental condition, as well as other stalkers in his base (e.g. Olivier or Olga), is a very important factor. Especially when it comes to the missions - lower psyche level means lower chances of success.
And we are working on more brutal, but equally effective stealth kill. Igor will use his knife to quickly eliminate his enemy. In the future that will be Igor’s “standard” stealth kill. Bloody, messy and quite loud. That’s why he will lose his psyche. And what you see right now in the game will be an “upgraded” stealth kill, that will be quieter and will have smaller impact on our main character’s mental health. Check the comparison between those two stealth kills:
- the new, a default stealth kill in the future (still work in progress!):

- the current one, but an upgraded stealth kill in the future:

Rambo-like gameplay
Well, you may know that Igor is neither a soldier nor a young guy. He can shoot, he can learn to be better at it, but he is not a typical stalker. He’s a scientist. That’s why he can be easily killed for example by NAR soldiers if he faces too many of them.

But if you like to shoot, to use every gun you can find in game, you’ll be happy to hear that the big overhaul in base building and weapon modification is getting closer! We can’t yet tell you when precisely, but stay tuned.
