Weekly Report #100
Hello Stalkers!
We’ve reached the hundredth report! We've come a long way - Report #1, which we released on October 24, 2019, is dedicated to the first week after the game's release in Early Access. A few years later, we celebrated the premiere of the full version of the game, the console release, and the first DLC. A crazy and very tiring journey, but extremely rewarding at the end.

But that doesn't mean we're standing still. We’re very close to the release of the next DLC, in which you’ll find new locations to visit. Can you recognize which place is this?

Of course, this is not the end! If you remember the previous report, we recently went on another trip to Ukraine, to the Chernobyl zone, to collect more materials that we intend to use in the near future.

Do you remember those photos from the first day of our stay - the ones where you can see us taking pictures of the area, nearby buildings, and things left in them? We rummaged a bit on our memory cards, and it turns out that we’ve many more shots documenting our work. We know from experience that you like this type of photos. So we’re sharing them with you.
We had the most work to get photos from nearby buildings. We photographed everything, including every crack in the wall. Where we needed to, we put up the lights.

We also took photos around the buildings.

All day's work, but thanks to it we can recreate these objects in our game in a 1: 1 scale.

In the video below, you can see how this magic works.

As we have already mentioned, our work was not limited only to taking photos, but also recording the sounds of the environment, also inside buildings. Each sound designer will tell you how important it is to record the sounds of nature not only in the field, but also in a room with walls. All this to reflect reality in the smallest possible detail.

We do a similar process around the chimney…

...and its interior.

Has the performance of such titanic work (and in the cold) paid off? You will find out about it soon.
That's it for today!
Take care, Stalkers!
