Weekly Report #2

Hi There Everyone!

Next week, next Weekly Report! Here is the recap of things that changed during last week in game.

First of all - On Tuesday we've released a Mega Patch called "Aftermath" with a lot of new content for you, couple of new mechanics as well as additions and corrections.

New weapon: Assault rifle

Although our game is not focused on shooting as much as Metro or Stalker, you still cite these titles by complaining about the small amount of weapons in Chernobylite. You missed the fast-firing rifle the most, because it was used mainly in the previously mentioned games. Your requests have been answered - from today you can shoot soldiers and monsters also with an assault rifle.



Weapon upgrade system:

Since we are already on a topic of a small amount of weapons - from today we are giving you the first iteration of the weapon upgrade system. Do you want to convert a revolver as a large, accurate weapon for long-range combat? Or maybe a shotgun for a small, fast cut to fight closely? It is now possible. We are giving you 12 upgrades for Nagant and 6 shotgun upgrades. Over time, we will add more elements to the system and enable improvement of the rifle.





Storage:

If we were to indicate one element of Chernobylite, the lack of which you complain about the most, it would be Storage. You have often argued that the ability to store equipment in the database is crucial for survival games. Because. although we planned to take care of it only next week, we have accelerated work and we are giving you the first iteration of storage now.



New crafting items:

Together with the introduction of new mechanics, we are also introducing items necessary for service. In the base building menu you will find 2 new tables that will allow you to upgrade your equipment. Storage type items will gain new functionality. In addition, you can build a rifle on the old tables from today
and ammunition for him.



Rebuilding the quest "Meeting with Tarakan":

Although everyone loves Tarakan, you didn't liked the quest dedicated to him. A large number of placeholders combined with numerous issues didl not made a good impression. That is why we decided to finish it and rebuild it a bit. We hope you will enjoy it now.

New languages to choose from:

We added the first iteration of Czech and Ukrainian today. Both done by our community. Let me know how you like them.

Rev 22165 - Shotgun and Storage fix

  • Bug with jamming shotgun should no longer appear. Thank you all for help finding it!
  • Storage should now correctly save data and transfer it to a new game when Igor dies.

Rev 22079 - Localization fixes and fatal errors problem

  • Czech and Ukrainian language versions should now work correctly
  • Shameful mistakes associated with UI in the Russian language have been mostly corrected.

Many of you have had huge problems with fatal errors since the last patch. We've recently added a lot of the features you've been waiting for. Save system can't cope, because the differences in information from older revisions are too large ...
We are working hard on this problem, but we are not sure if we can solve it and what the consequences will be. If you don't want to wait, start the game again. This should resolve the fatal error. We apologize for this inconvenience :(

Rev 22075 - Storage and upgrades hotfixes

  • Switching between two weapons of the same type with different upgrades should no longer cause problems.
  • Storage should no longer mix upgrades to the weapons hidden in it.
  • Weapons dropped by soldiers can now be looted to obtain resources and ammunition

Hey stalkers!

Assault rifle and weapon customization added, survival timeline expanded and storage limits removed (finally)!

Again, a lot of things happened during last days. As depicted in our monthly report last week, we’ve worked hard to fix the problems and bugs identified by the community, added a lot of improvements and increased the quality of the game itself. Now you can check the showcase of the most interesting features we've put into the game last month - they're available from today in our "Aftermath" Mega Patch!

Improvements/Additions:
  • Added a new weapon, an assault rifle.
  • Added a weapon upgrade system.
  • Added a storage system for items in Player Base.
  • Added 2 new craft tables. They can used to upgrade weapons.
  • Assault rifle and ammunition for it can be created on crafting table.
  • We have reworked quest "Meeting with Tarakan".


Localization:
  • We've added Czech and Ukrainian language support.
  • New feature we added in recent weeks has been localized to all languages. If something is not working properly let us know.
  • We corrected some disappearing lines that randomly could not appear during dialogue.


General:
  • Marker placed by player on the map should now work correctly.
  • We've added descriptions that explain exactly what each difficulty setting is doing.
  • Old hideout: Player should no longer fall below level when trying to use the staircase.


Graphics:
  • We've fixed problems with reflections in the water.
  • Scanner screen light should no longer illuminate everything in front of us.


Audio:
  • Muting the sound effects in the menu should now work properly with the sounds of a flashlight, film or scanner.
  • Quest “Recruit Sashko” and “Mikhail in trouble” should now be sounded correctly.
  • All takedowns should already be properly sounded.
