January 2022 Update: Improved click effects

January 2022 update improves pointer click effects and brings minor changes to the user interface.

If you use Screenbits to make video tutorials, click effects feature is a useful tool to show mouse clicks to viewers of the tutorial. In the January 2022 update, Screenbits improves pointer click effects to indicate drag & drop and mouse button press/release more accurately. There are also minor changes to the user interface in this update.

December 2021 Update: New translations for the application

December 2021 update brings new translations for the application. You can now change application language to Chinese Simplified, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Spanish!

October 2021 Update: Improved support for HDR displays and bug fixes

October 2021 update improves support for HDR enabled displays and also fixes a few bugs.

Before the update, some users had to disable HDR color on their display to be able to capture it. This limitation is now removed in the last update. In addition, we have fixed a few bugs in this update. If you are interested in the details, check out the release notes on Screenbits website.

August 2021 Update: Screenshot Capturing

August 2021 update brings ability to capture screenshots, more screen capturing options and new hotkeys for switching between modes.

You can now capture screenshots from screen, an area on the screen or the capture scene. Use screenshot hotkey (default: Alt+F10) to capture the screen or the capture since. In addition to the hotkey approach, preview, area selection tool and frame now have new screenshot buttons to capture screenshots.

In this new update, you can choose to hide taskbar for your screen recording sessions from screen options. If you have a multi-display setup, a new Active Display option is available in the list of displays. Using this option, screen capture dynamically switches between displays to capture the display which have mouse pointer on it.


July 2021 Update: Audio and Device capture modes

We are happy to announce that the new update (version 7.2.1) now supports new features including individual camera and audio recording.

Using the device capture mode, you can now record your camera individually just like a camera recorder. Audio capture mode allows you to record audio from system sound and microphone into audio files.

In addition, you can now turn on/off audio capture during recording, and also use push-to-talk mode for input audio capturing.
