Regarding Version 0.47, it was supposed to release today, but more testing needs to be done. Rest assured, it'll release tomorrow for sure. Expect Localization, Tower Table Filters, Bug Fixes, and one more welcome surprise we managed to sneak in.

Incoming Patch on Thursday

On Thursday, April 30th, we'll be releasing Version 0.47, which will include some of our new Localizations, our usual bout of bug fixes, and:

We've also seen an increase in our general playerbase this past weekend, especially online games. If you've found issues finding games and other players since launch, give it another shot. The Lobby List may look blank, but the Games Notification feature should get a good number of players into your game!


Lastly, we're going to be doing Server Maintenance prior to the new version release. This will happen on Thursday, April 30th @ 1am EST / 5am GMT, and it will last for roughly an hour. During this time, you may experience interruptions in online play.

Localization Now Supported!

We're now able to support localization! This has been on our list of things to do and I'm happy to announce this functionality.

But we need translations. If you're willing to help translate please join our Discord and ping Karawasa.

Version 0.46 - Ronald Runs, Menu Updates, Bug Fixes

[h2]Features[/h2]
  • Ronald Run length option added!
    • Start from Wave 56 with 120,000 Gold, 11 Element Picks, & A Freebie Essence
    • You have 180 Seconds to prepare your defenses
    • This is actually submittable to the Leaderboard; however, the Speed Multiplier is set to x1. Between that and 120k Gold, any decent Full length run (or even Extra Short) should beat out a Ronald Run.
  • Removed the unintuitive "search for game" menu for Duel Mode.
    • When hosting a game, it lets you host between FFA, Co-op, or 1v1 Duel.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed random disconnect errors that would happen mid-game.
  • When a player leaves in Co-op, it properly decreases the current player count for splitting the bounty.
  • In-game difficulty score multiplier on Easy properly displays x0 instead of x1.
  • Fixed a bug where going to the Audio Tab in in-game settings could mess up the UI.
  • Fixed a bug where Chatbox vanishes twice as fast on Turbo.
  • Fixed a bug where where "You've won the game" notification would pop-up during Ronalds, even if you ultimately lose.


[h2]Improvements[/h2]
  • You can no longer get randomed Double Interest Upgrades when playing on Easy, Normal, or Hard Difficulties.
    • Double Interest is only something experienced players are able to take proper advantage of and often screws over new players. If you want Double Interest on Random, start raising the Difficulty.
  • Further server improvements to reduce pauses.
  • Lobby List Filters are now hidden by default.
  • Further optimizations made.
    • Unfortunately, late-game Co-op is still a lagfest. We'll be addressing this over the coming weeks.
  • Co-op pre-game time is now doubled, instead of a flat +30 Seconds.
  • More sounds added/updated, including Lobby Ready Up & Unready.
  • After typing something in the Chatbox, pressing Enter again will cause it to go away.
  • On Blacksmith, Well, Trickery, Runic & Astral Towers, after using their abilities, the ability icon now displays the cooldown remaining.
  • Hotkey page is now up to date.



Since the release of Element TD 2 on Steam Early Access, we've primarily prioritized Multiplayer Functionality, new modes, network improvements, bug fixes, and other new features; however, the Singleplayer department has been sorely lacking in new content.

Over the new few months, our focus will be shifting more towards Content & Accessibility. Look forward to the following:
  • A Campaign with actual progress and unlocks (this will replace Challenges)
  • Steam Achievements
  • A rewards system, providing Skins & Trails
  • And more!


It will take us some time to actually build out and implement these things, so don't expect them to happen immediately. In the meantime, expect our usual bout of maintenance updates, including further network improvements, performance optimizations, visual & audio updates, etc.

Co-op Mode was a Bullet Hell all along

The reception to the new Co-op Mode has been really positive, and we're seeing an increase of players and feedback! We'd also like to drop an update a few things:
  • We're aware of a "partial disconnect" bug, which seems to happen in most online games, and results in things breaking. We're working on a fix and should have it out within the next day or so.
  • As seen in the video above, FPS in late-game Co-op Mode tends to drop pretty hard, and that's just due to the vast number of towers, creeps, and projectiles on-screen. We're working on optimizations that'll ease that down over the next few weeks.
  • The new mode doesn't have Leaderboard Support just yet, but after we iron out some kinks, expect to be able to start landing some scores on it.


In general, expect to see primarily optimizations and bug fixes over the next week. In the meantime, enjoy the new mode and look forward to new updates soon!
