Patch 041: Minor Hotfix - 16/12/2020

Hey all! We've just pushed a small patch that fixes the bugs below:

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where inspiring a fighter on a lethal hex caused that fighter to take damage
  • Improved lethal hex damage calculations
  • Added a fix for various tooltip issues and UI freezing
  • Gorefist no longer reacts when Zharkus is Trapped
  • Fixes to prevent matchmaking errors mid-game


Note: You should see 1.4.3 in-game once you have the update.

Patch 040: Minor Hotfix - 11/12/2020

Hey all! In addition to our big update yesterday, we've just pushed a small patch that fixes some of the bugs below:

Bug Fixes

+ Fixed an issue where hexes would behave as if they were occupied when they weren't
+ Daemonic Resilience will now discard after first attack
+ Living Wall won’t trigger when one fighter is alive

Patch 039: Changing the Rules of Engagement

Hey everyone, we've just pushed out a new update!

Make sure to update your game on Steam for those changes to come into effect. You should see 1.4.1 in-game once you have the update.



[h3]Rules Update[/h3]
  • Guard: Fighters on Guard can no longer be driven back
  • Initial roll off: The roll off at the start of the game allows the winner to choose who places their board first
  • Lethal hexes: Hexes that will damage whoever moves into them, either through push, knockback, movement etc. Placeable during board placement.
  • Super Actions: ‘Charging’ and ‘Scything’ attacks are considered Super Actions. Inspiring and scoring objectives will now take place after Super Actions are completed
  • Surge: There is a Surge Limit of no more than 6 Surge Objectives per deck (“Score Immediately” Objectives)
  • Restricted list: Players are able to have a maximum of 5 Restricted Cards in their Deck (see below)

  • Objectives: Advancing Strike, Alone in the Darkness, Change of Tactics, Defensive Strike, Escalation, Precise Use of Force, Sorcerous Scouring
  • Gambits: Illusory Fighter, My Turn, Ready for Action, Trap, Twist the Knife, Sudden Appearance
  • Upgrades: A Destiny to Meet, Awakened Weapon, Deathly Fortitude, Helpful Whispers, Incredible Strength, Shadeglass Dagger, Shadeglass Hammer, Soultrap


[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Zharkus’ Gorefist will no longer trigger when Trapped
  • Updated combat log text to include healing text
  • Fixed Steady Volley’s interaction with Piercing Stare
  • Fixed My Turn’s interaction with Shattering Terrain
  • Fixed an issue where the game over screen would appear twice
  • Fixed an issue where ‘Shadeglass weapon’ upgrades would not discard themselves when used
  • Various ‘attack again’ ploys will no longer trigger after Expendable (Tireless Assault, Oathsworn, Necromancer Commands, Endless Malice and Eidetic Memory)
  • Living Wall will no longer cause the game to freeze if there are not enough friendly living fighters on the battlefield
  • Various stability improvements


[h3]Known Issues[/h3]
  • Living Wall can still be played with only one fighter on the field, but will not have any effect
  • Lethal Hexes sometimes do not visually highlight during drivebacks or pushes (they can still be selected)
  • Confusion fails to apply damage when a fighter is swapped into a Lethal Hex
