Patch 0.4.0

[h2]Past Fate Patch 0.4.0 is now live[/h2]

[h3]It has been almost a month since the Open Alpha concluded and we have been making some improvements behind the scenes while also reacting to player feedback to make sure Past Fate will be fun and enjoyable for our players.

What does Patch 0.4.0 add to the game?

Functional character saves, so players no longer need to start their characters from the beginning every time they relog.
We have also made sure that the game world looks much more breathing and realistic than it used to be by tweaking lightning, shadow and landscape settings.
There is a lot more content added and based on feedback we have improved the gameplay quite a bit, for example lowered some statistics, made combat little bit harder by making enemies last much more and more![/h3]

[h3]News about the Open Alpha[/h3]

The launch of the Open Alpha did not go so great as we had some delays and our server was not functioning properly. But...
We now have our server running and because of this delay for Official Server the Open Alpha has been extended until 29th of August.
Keep in mind there is still some minor issues with the server that will get tweaked/fixed during the week.

We would apologize for the bad start of the Open Alpha.

[h3]Past Fate Server Load Test & Community gathering
[/h3]
On upcoming Saturday from 19:00 UTC+2 until 21:00 UTC+2 we will have a Server Load Test and Community Gathering.
The aim is to get as many players as possible on the server and see how much traffic it actually can handle.

Patch 0.3.9

Past Fate Patch 0.3.9 is now live


[h3]Faction System Remade

Start as a Mercenary and increase your reputation among a chosen faction. Completing various tasks to one faction will lower the reputation of the other. This will allow the players to choose between factions, or stay completely neutral to both!

Class System remade

Your class is based on your weapon and armor you choose to use. Weapons have their own special abilities and weapon arts. For example if you want to play as a tank, you should equip your character with a shield and heavy armor with defensive stat points. There are many combinations that you can create to play how you want to build your character.[/h3]



Game Improvements and changes summary:

  • Remaded Faction system.
  • Remaded Class system.
  • Swimming has been added to the game. Players are now able to swim and dive!
  • All players start now with a Newharbor Teleport. This teleport allows players to teleport back to Newharbor if they get stuck for example.
  • Major and minor bug fixes

Patch 0.3.8

Past Fate Patch 0.3.8 is now live


[h3]Magic and witchcraft has found its place in the hands of the mercenary. Players are now able to wield Staves and Wands, casting elemental spells or if they come across with darker powers even raise the dead from their graves.

For players to unleash the powers within the magical weapons they need to craft runes. Rune Crafting is the newest crafting adaptation for Past Fate allowing players to craft different runes from Fire Runes to Death Runes. Rune Crafting is possibly to be changed later on.

Lets not forget that cooking was also added to Past Fate so every hungry traveler should visit the cooking fires and make some good potato stew, if they have gathered the ingredients of course! [/h3]



Game Improvements and changes summary:

  • Magic weapons have been added with magic skills (Fireball, Summon Undead etc.)
  • Runecrafting tables have been added. With Runecrafting tables players are able to make Runes needed for spells. Keep in mind Runecrafting is possibly to be changed in future patches based on feedback.
  • Cooking Fires have been added. Cooking fire enables basic cooking
  • Praying Altar has been added [EXPERIMENTAL]. Praying altar is where players can sacrifice goods for gods and receive blessings. Highly experimental
  • Dual wielding weapons added
  • Characters finally do save so players no longer need to start their adventures from the beginning each time they want to play
  • Alchemy merchant added
  • NPC character models changed
  • Lore items added across the map
  • Bandit camps have been reworked in Westborough
  • More optimization fixes
  • More quests
  • Major and minor bugs fixed
  • Minor QoL changes (UI)
