Past Fate Early Access Out Now

Past Fate Early Access is now live!

DISCLAIMER BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!

This is NOT a finished product. Early access will have bugs and some things might be broken. Mechanics are still work in progress same goes for most animations.

Servers might be unstable and crashes can happen. We will open additional servers based on demand.

PVE SERVERS WILL OPEN LITTLE BIT LATER DUE TO AN ISSUE. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO EXPERIENCE POTENTIAL PVP WE SUGGEST WAITING FOR A DAY OR TWO UNTIL WE DEPLOY THEM!

Those who wish to record/stream the game without chat can turn off chat on the chat settings.

Known bugs in the current build:
  • Quests share some progress (replication issue)
  • Some quests add more towards the progress than one
  • Loincloth might clip through some armor

Balance

  • Dual Wielding balanced. Dual dagger strike now has an 8 second cooldown and doesn't give 25% extra damage
  • 2-handed weapon balanced. Increased strength scaling
  • Some items have had their stats changed
  • Blackfang Keep heavy buff to enemy health
  • Increased the damage of Trolls
  • Decreased healing radius


Miscellaneous

  • Mariela Bloodmoon now has a visible weapon
  • Ancient King damage increased
  • Undead in the swamp buffed
  • Landscape changes
  • Dialogue changes to some NPC's
  • New food eating animation
  • Fixed Cultist Alchemist

Open Alpha Playtest & Patch 0.5.5

For everyone not participating in the closed alpha, now is your chance to explore the savage and vast lands of Nendhir before Past Fate goes to Early Access!

What to expect in the Open Alpha


  • Explore and aid the Kingdom of Edaria with their fight against the undead and other threats lurking in the shadows.
  • Try out Blackfang Keep, our PvPvE extraction dungeon
  • Test the combat, crafting and early quests.
  • Play freely with the community!
  • Sharpen your blade and test your your skills in PvP combat!


Open Alpha started December 9th at 6PM GMT / 1PM EST and runs until 16th of December 6PM GMT / 1PM EST

Like last time, you can participate on Past Fate's Steam page that allows you to play the Open Alpha. There are no pre-requisites to play the alpha!

Also at the same time patch 0.5.5 is now live with some improvements especially to Courlun area of the game.



Game Improvements and changes summary:

World
  • Enemy and gatherable spawners have been made much more performance friendly
  • Courlun area has been remade to properly reflect the feel and dread of Blackfang Keep
  • Blackfang Keep has been improved even further
  • New quests in the Courlun area of the game
  • Changes to Vampire enemies, giving them new custom look and animations
  • New loot and item changes

  • New hairstyle for female character
  • Hairstyle improvements for longer hair, the hair should no longer feel static

Early Access Update

Greetings Mercenaries!

We want to share an important update regarding the Early Access release of Past Fate.

After taking a look at the December release schedules and evaluating what will give Past Fate and our players the best possible start, we have made the decision to move the Early Access launch to January 7th, 2026.

This change ensures that Past Fate can launch with the visibility, stability, and performance it deserves. December has become an extremely crowded month, and launching just before major releases and the Steam Winter Sale would limit the attention and momentum that Early Access titles rely on. By shifting to early January, we can give Past Fate cleaner, uninterrupted release window and some extra development time for further polishing.

We know many of you were excited for the December Early Access release time, and we truly appreciate your patience and support. This short delay will allow us to deliver a smoother and stronger experience and it will set the stage for much healthier Early Access cycle. It was a hard decision, but it feels like the correct one.

Again we would like to apologize for the delay and we would like to thank you all for understanding

We’re incredibly excited for you to begin your journey in Past Fate on January 7th, 2026.

Also because of the Early Access delay we have decided to host 7 days open alpha test starting December 9th.
