Past Fate Early Access Release Date, Open Alpha & Patch 0.5.4

[p][h3]The Past Fate Open Alpha test begins October 23rd, and we are excited to announce that Early Access launches on Steam December 9th! [/h3]

For everyone not participating in the closed alpha, now is your chance to explore the savage and vast lands of Nendhir!

What to expect in the Open Alpha


  • Explore and aid the Kingdom of Edaria with their fight against the undead and other threats lurking in the shadows.
  • Test the combat, crafting and early quests.
  • Play freely with the community!
  • Sharpen your blade and test your your skills in PvP combat!
Open Alpha starts October 23rd at 4PM GMT / 12PM EST and runs until 30th of October 4PM GMT / 12PM EST

Like last time, you can participate on Past Fate's Steam page that allows you to play the Open Alpha. There are no pre-requisites to play the alpha!

More information regarding Early Access will come out later!

Also as mentioned, patch 0.5.4 is now live with some improvements to the games quests, User Interface, QoL and bug fixes.
Game Improvements and changes summary:

World

  • Enemy drop chances improved
  • DLSS and FSR added
  • New reputation icons
  • Quest changes


Player Changes and Improvements

  • Faith scaling
  • Lowered heal distance, aswell as changed healing effect sound
  • UI and HUD changes
  • Changes for Knowledge Experience


Bugs fixed

  • Players spawning with their gear on spawn has been fixed
  • Quests are now saving properly
  • Server structural change

Hotfix Patch 0.5.3.2

  • Player camera has been modified greatly
  • All interactable books and lore items should now properly work without the need to adjust camera
  • New keybinds added for hiding the UI and autorun
  • Community reported areas on the world have been fixed
  • Other community submitted bugs fixed

Hotfix Patch 0.5.3.1

  • Once enemies take damage their health bars are displayed for brief amount of time
  • Craftable item amounts should now properly craft the amount selected
  • Crafting table sometimes not letting players press Craft has been resolved properly
  • Description changes for quests, tutorials and recipes

Patch 0.5.3

[h3]The latest patch is mostly about optimization and polishing of the old areas, making the world feel much more alive than it was before. We also made changes to almost all of the quest descriptions, making sure they fit better to the world.
There is also now proper spells added for Druid, so those who want to experience some druidic spells, should seek out the Druid Staff.[/h3]

Game Improvements and changes summary:

World
  • Landscape has been polished, adding more immersion to the world
  • Most of the old ruins have been replaced with new, much more fitting ones
  • Further quest description changes
  • Further itemization changes
  • Slight improvement to the post process, making greens pop out more, so the world feels less grayish
  • Cultists have been remade to look better
  • Cultist area has been slightly redone
  • Slight changes to some item drop rates


Player Changes and Improvements
  • Druid's Staff now properly makes players to harness the druidish spells
  • Slight player statistical changes
  • Some player item values have been changed (Fishing rod will not cost 25 gold now)
  • Slight item material changes


Bugs Fixed
  • Further optimization improvements
  • Minor reported bugs fixed

Hotfix Patch 0.5.2.1

  • Optimization tweaks that should increase the frame-rate on lower end GPU:s
  • Item value changes
  • Crops have been changed in Newharbor
  • Minor bugs fixed
