Patch 0.4.2

[h2]Past Fate Patch 0.4.2 is now live[/h2]

[h3]Mercenaries beware as the gates of Blackfang Keep have been opened...


The latest patch introduces Blackfang Keep, an open world dungeon where players can team up and try to reveal the secrets of Count Blackfang.
Blackfang Keep is our first farmable dungeon for new loot and activities to the players. Keep in mind during this patch only first wing is open and more wings will be opened with smaller patches.

Crafting got a slight change as we decided to divide each category of crafting so players now have access to Blacksmithing, Leatherworking and Tailoring. This decision should make crafting little bit more clearer. Also the UI of crafting and crafting icon sizes got a minor change.

We have also focused a lot on optimization and players should see big improvements on how the game runs. [/h3]

Patch 0.4.1

[h2]Past Fate Patch 0.4.1 is now live[/h2]

[h3]The latest patch to Past Fate adds a bunch of new content to the game including nearly completed Edaria and start of Kingdom of Drosus.
Kingdom of Drosus will be shaped a lot more during updates and it will eventually have one of the main capitals of Morsath Faction, Shadowpeak.

We have also made some UI changes mostly in preparation for character customization update that will eventually let players to customize their characters even more.
We also re-checked few of the older so called "group content" areas and found them to feel too crowded or lacking in resource so we have completely redone Blackfang Village and Bandit Hideout areas.

Also the world felt like it should have more resources so we ~tripled the amount of resources in the world and also added resources to the newer areas.

Also according to player feedback we have made it possible for players to use their character crafting outside of Crafting Tables. Player crafting only has limited items available for crafting so most of the demanding craftables still require Crafting Tables.

Game Improvements and changes summary:

World
  • Edaria landscape completed and more content added for Weeping Hills and Southern Fields
  • Kingdom of Drosus landscaped and content added, the area is still heavily WIP
  • Animal NPC:s re-added and the AI of them has been improved
  • More factional quests and NPC:s added
  • Group Content areas (Blackfang Village and Bandit Hideout) have been remade to give better gameplay feeling for the players
  • More new items added from NPC:s and from Quests
Player Changes and Improvements
  • Player crafting added. Players are now able to craft some items without the use of Crafting Table's
  • Optional Tutorial Quest giver added who teaches new players the basics via quests
  • Hunting skill added, players are able to increase their hunting skill by hunting wildlife. This skill is still WIP and will be tweaked in upcoming updates
  • UI improvements for character creation and skills
  • Quest Giver markers updated to follow up players camera.
  • Female Character's look improved slightly
Gathering and Crafting
  • Resource amount tripled in old areas
  • Changed the look of Ore and Tree resources
  • Added Pine Trees as collectible resource
  • Some tweaks for amount received from gathering
  • New gathering hubs added fe. Iron Ore Gathering hub near Bandit Hideout
Bugs Fixed
  • Quest "Fortify Camp" should now properly count the trees cut.
  • Kingswall castle stairs have been fixed
  • Some houses should no longer have grass coming trough the floors
  • Mine areas are no longer blocked by landscape
  • Other minor bugs fixed

Patch 0.4.0

[h2]Past Fate Patch 0.4.0 is now live[/h2]

[h3]It has been almost a month since the Open Alpha concluded and we have been making some improvements behind the scenes while also reacting to player feedback to make sure Past Fate will be fun and enjoyable for our players.

What does Patch 0.4.0 add to the game?

Functional character saves, so players no longer need to start their characters from the beginning every time they relog.
We have also made sure that the game world looks much more breathing and realistic than it used to be by tweaking lightning, shadow and landscape settings.
There is a lot more content added and based on feedback we have improved the gameplay quite a bit, for example lowered some statistics, made combat little bit harder by making enemies last much more and more![/h3]

Past Fate News & Event info

[h3]News about the Open Alpha[/h3]

The launch of the Open Alpha did not go so great as we had some delays and our server was not functioning properly. But...
We now have our server running and because of this delay for Official Server the Open Alpha has been extended until 29th of August.
Keep in mind there is still some minor issues with the server that will get tweaked/fixed during the week.

We would apologize for the bad start of the Open Alpha.

[h3]Past Fate Server Load Test & Community gathering

On upcoming Saturday from 19:00 UTC+2 until 21:00 UTC+2 we will have a Server Load Test and Community Gathering.
The aim is to get as many players as possible on the server and see how much traffic it actually can handle.
