We would like to inform you that several adjustments and fixes have been made to some of the character data included in the paid DLC “SMILE Characters DX Vol.1”.
- Fixes
- Skin Weight Corrections
We have corrected an issue affecting all characters where the lower legs (calves) were incorrectly influenced by the toe bones instead of the appropriate leg bones. This caused unnatural deformations when bending the knees.
Additionally, for characters with long hair, we have fixed an issue where the tips of the hair were not weighted to the head bone, leading to unnatural movement, such as when turning the head. - Motion Data Standardization
Motion data has been standardized to match that of “SMILE Characters DX Vol.2”.
Along with this update, motion names have also been changed to follow the naming conventions used in Vol.2.
- Important Notice
- If you are already using the old version of the data in your project, importing the updated version with the "overwrite" option may result in motions not playing correctly.
This is due to changes in motion names, which can break the link between the model and its animations. - To avoid this issue, please make sure to use the "Add with a different ID" option when importing the updated version. This will register the updated character data as a separate resource.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused, and thank you for your continued support.
