Basic Mechanics: Drakkorith Faction
„On your journey throughout this gargantuan planet that is named Issilith, you will find yourself face to face with many races that call this place their home. Some will be friendly, some will be wicked and cruel, some just won't care. But it's up to you to make yourself prepared for the greatest adventure of your life. And the easiest way to do so is to listen to the stories of the old Storyteller. For those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it..“
They are mighty, they are deadly, their Empire is the mightiest of them all. They will gladly lay down their life, all for the glory and the preservation of the great Drakkorith nation. With their focus on the tangible and visible things, martial prowess, weapon mastery, and combat skills are held in high regard. This military-oriented faction translates its characteristics well into its in-game representation.
Drakkorith's units are one of the best for direct combat. Some of them can tank multiple attacks before they succumb thanks to high health and armor, some can attack multiple units at once with their cleave, and juggernauts, well, they can slice through the enemy's Core effortlessly. The synergy between Drakkorith's units and their Avatars has always been nothing less than stellar, just like with their soldiers and generals. It is not only that their Avatars directly buff their units, some will passively gain power as their Avatars attack, becoming a bigger and bigger threat with each passing turn. Some will buff their Avatars, giving them or their special attacks additional power. While going over the factions cards, it is obvious that a lot of them synergize well with leadership. That can be an extra incentive to opt for a more leadership heavy playstyle, and with the extra health Avatars get from the leveling of leadership (except for Basson which gains extra damage on his skill), using Avatars to destroy enemy units more often and make a significant board dominance may seem like a natural thing to do. But don't neglect your Energy! In case you forgot, special attacks are actually energy cards, so level your attributes accordingly!
While they have a lot of strong points, their aggressive approach can bring their Avatar's health quite low. Cards that can bring confusion onto the battleground and prevent attacks or favourable trades Drakkorith's tend to engage in, can be their downfall if the player is not careful.
„Even the mightiest of them all can fall. Don't underestimate your opponents in the battle, my child. It can cost you dearly... Feel free to join our Discord community (Discord) and share your thoughts with other Residents of Issilith. We will patiently listen…“
