  • Hull needs to be attached to the ship in order to give its bonuses. It can’t be used to heal by attaching it temporarily.
  • The Observatory scans three segments of a planet at a time

  • Fixed bug where more than one unique module would spawn on the same level

Hello Scavengers, here's another update with some new modules! We hope you like it!

Added a new category of Unique Modules of which there will spawn a maximum of 1 per run.
Unique Modules
  • Lotus Flower
  • Hull
  • Soul Stealer
  • Fusion Reactor
  • Observatory
  • (Radar now belongs to this category)
Other Modules
  • Added a few extended solar panels

  • Reflective Armor - Reduced price and sell value
  • Zoomed out slightly in World 1
  • Shield Drone now has a spherical shield
  • Minor visibility adjustments to Scorpion
  • Reduced energy regeneration on Large and Gold Solar panels

[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed bug with the mining drone that could cause the next level to not load properly
  • Enemy hp bars now disappear instantly when enemies die
  • Incorrect colors on color overlays for skins Toxic Waste and Night Sky
  • Fixed incorrect sell price text alignment in build mode
  • Fixed incorrect text in Swarm mode game over screen

  • Enemy Health bars are now easier to see when covered by other things such as ice blocks.
  • Edit: v0.9.5.2 Intro video volume is controlled by music volume setting

  • In the death/victory screen you can now save your ships to the Hangar
  • View saved ships in the hangar!

  • Reduced machine gun ammo usage. (We overdid it a bit in the last patch)
  • Rifle - Increased range
  • Green Laser - Increased range
  • Laser Shotgun - Reduced the number of projectiles by 1
  • Sword - Reflects projectiles back at enemies instead of just destroying them
  • Bomber - Now show its damage area before exploding
  • Homing Launcher - Reduced turn rate of missiles
  • Camera has less focus on the planet during exploration

  • Fixed strange Drone rotation resets in certain situations
  • Another attempt at fixing boomerangs that would sometimes get stuck mid-air
  • Fixed bug where the scoreboard preview ship would not load

  • Skin Select screen clean up. Is now more consistent with the rest of the menus
  • Some new sounds in the menu
  • The skin blueprint is no longer visible in the ship skin preview

[h3]New stuff[/h3]
  • 2 new model skins available, Diamond and Flower
  • 3 new paints. I heard you like dark skins so here are 3 new ones
  • When using a controller it will now rumble when taking damage
    Drones
  • They now have a small energy bar that shows how long they can continue
  • Drones teleport back to the ship when they run out of energy instead of chasing your ship
  • Shield Drones now communicate a little bit so they don’t cover the same enemy at the same time, making multiple shield drones a lot more effective
  • Mining drones can now mine twice instead of once before having to recharge

[h3]Balancing[/h3]
  • Bodies recycle crystal gain reduced from 5->3
  • Crystals for buying skins can no longer be earned in Swarm mode.
  • Increased Swarm mode difficulty curve
  • Now has reduced crystal gain per loop
  • Increased ammo usage of machine gun

[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
  • After the last update’s camera changes the screenshake was behaving a bit strange. It has been fixed
  • Shield Drones would sometimes be rotated strangely where the drone would not be positioned over the shield as expected.
  • Fixed Gas flowers jerky movement
  • Adjusted how the camera follows planet exploration to solve a bug where it would sometimes not stop focusing the planet
  • Fixed Laser shotgun size issue where it was treated like a half module in certain positions.

[h3]Other[/h3]
  • The rotate instruction in build mode will no longer show up for modules where rotation does not matter, like bodies, thrusters etc.
  • Minor color adjustments to Tubes and Bubble model skins

[h3]New stuff[/h3]
  • You can now purchase unlocks for your ship with crystals collected in the classic game mode. These include color variations and some model changes
  • Sentinel enemy has a completely new alien visual instead of the robot model
  • Chaser has new animations and more telegraphed shots
  • Turtle has a new cleaner model with new animations
  • Cloud Saves. Steam should now sync your save file.
  • An “Are you sure?” popup shows up before abandoning a run
  • Adjusted camera and physics to allow for smoother camera movement. Everything should feel a lot smoother and it could also help prevent motion sickness.

  • Squids - Reduced damage 80->60
  • Squids - Reduced projectile speed
  • Squids - Reduced projectile range slightly
  • Squids - Increased shot frequency
  • Spitter - Before exploding it shows the affected area, similar to Space Mines
  • Spitter - Explosion now damages enemies
  • Spitter - Increased damage
  • Scorpion - New fireball visuals
  • Volcano planet - Reduced damage (100->80)
  • Firestorm planet - Increased damage (20->80)
  • Added more gas flowers in toxic world
Modules
  • Homing launcher - Increased damage slightly
  • Homing launcher - Increased range slightly
  • Homing launcher - Increased rocket speed
  • Artillery - Reduced price from 6->5
  • Crossbow - Increased price from 4->5
  • Boomerang - Reduced throw distance from 20->18
  • Boomerang - Reduced speed
  • Double Laser - Increased ammo usage
  • Double Laser - Reduced range slightly
  • Laser shotgun - Reduced Ammo usage
  • Reflective Armor - now tries to aim reflected projectile towards the enemy attacker
  • Mining Drone - Can now mine for crystals. Asteroids that contain crystals will drop an additional crystal nugget for every mining drone attached to your ship.
  • Mining Drone - Removed from Swarm game mode
  • Toxic launcher - New model and larger area of effect with more damage
Other
  • The last few levels max size has been reduced
  • Finding home now grants 5000 bonus score
  • Moved planet clouds back a bit to stop them from covering the action too much


[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
  • Boomerangs should no longer get stuck in the air
  • Escape should once again be working to exit build mode
  • Re-enabled build mode cushions that push ship away from walls and planets to prevent you from building into the wall
  • Fixed how exploration would sometimes be inconsistent with larger ships.
  • Boomerang - Boomerang speed should now be frame rate independent


[h3]Other[/h3]
  • Ship will no longer be on fire in the Victory screen
  • When finishing the daily and the scoreboard shows up, the background will fade out to make the ship preview in the UI more readable.
  • Removed the “Saved oxygen” score calculation when playing without oxygen limit.
  • Main menu now has the same pretty skybox as the in-game World 1 levels.
