Update ver. 1.1.0 - Teach Me Your Ways!




You know an update is big when it's all golden and all! This time we bring you the long - awaited update o the tutorial! Jumping into the campaign should now be easier and more seamless to players unfamiliar with Charterstone.

Full list of changes:

  • [Change] Tutorial has been updated! Having received a multitude of comments, emails, messages, and tweets telling us our tutorial was not good enough - we've updated it! We hope this will make the entry-level for players completely new to Charterstone lower and enhance everyone's overall experience. Give it a try and let us know if you think it's still missing something.
  • [Fix] Building values have returned (oops!).
  • [Fix] 3 digit values will now be taken into account in the window where we choose the Campaign scoring type.
  • [Fix] Fixed a bug where the Candle sabotage action appeared twice in a row.
  • [Fix] Fixed a bug where the game would not automatically pick and play the Treasure card that would skip the building's cost, where it was the only card the player could have chosen because they could not afford the building's cost.
  • [Change] We added the option to take a scroll from the advancement mat and to play it immediately to skip a building's cost (even if we can afford it normally).
  • [Change] Entering a room will now make all lingering notifications (red badge in the News section) be considered as read - the game will assume you've seen the - and thus the badge will disappear.
  • [Fix] If you rename a Card, you no longer have to press Enter to confirm the change.
  • [Fix] You can no longer spy on your opponent's choices during Sky Islands by viewing tooltips that should not yet have been there.
  • [Fix] Architect Persona granting VP and Coins when we receive a Building Card will now properly activate if we get a card from a Crate.
  • [Fix] Technomage Persona will now properly force the discard from the players with all minions on the board.
  • [Fix] You can now log in using an email address that contains a "+" sign.

Update ver. 1.0.9 - Fun and Interactive

  • [Fix] Fixed the Loyal/Rebel plaques.
  • [Fix] You can't now visit a building with an Influence cost with your Robot while using a Scroll.
  • [Fix] Merchant bonus will now be displayed correctly.
  • [Change] Added a used personas tooltip to the Personas screen.
  • [Fix] Fixed the online "can't confirm capacity/glory" error.
  • [Fix] Fixed the situation where: 1. we couldn't afford a building's cost, 2. Used a scroll to skip a building's cost, 3. We're still missing a building card or a crate that is required, and the game would let us visit the building anyway.
  • [Fix] Fixed the error where Friend would grant us a bonus when we discarded Coins.
  • [Fix] We can now visit an Objective scoring building with a robot if it'll allow us to score an objective.
  • [Fix] Alchemist persona interactions have been fixed.

Update ver. 1.0.8 - Objectively Better



This time we cleaned up some timeline related issues, UI relics, tooltips, etc. as well as fixed some odd bugs related to the objectives.

  • [Change] Timeline during the end-of-game phase will now only show one player choosing resources - and mark that player with their icon.
  • [Fix] Fixed the bug where we couldn't make a move during the Sky Islands selection.
  • [Change] Added multiple simple tooltips with the name of the particular building or space.
  • [Change] We hid the Cards numbers - they were a relic from the board game anyway.
  • [Fix]You can now send a Worker to a building requiring Influence if you have a Persona that will give you an influence (and you don't have one at that point).
  • [Fix] Candlemaker will now be shown properly in the Sky Islands window.
  • [Fix] Fixes to the scoring of the Spread Your Influence Objective.
  • [Fix] Playing Item cards in certain moments could cause us to no longer be able to afford a building's cost. This will no longer happen.
  • [Fix] You can revert the game state to the beginning (again).
  • [Fix] Fixed the "buildings in the Charter" window - the one that showed the ones on the board, on the Sky Islands, and in the supply.
  • [Fix] When we have the persona that allows us to pick a card from the mat or reveal cards from the deck, and there are no cards on the advancement mat - the picking from the advancement mat stage will be skipped automatically.
  • [Fix] You will no longer be able to skip the permanent loss of Influence.
  • [Fix] Objective 218 (Build Your Reputation) will now recognize we can gain Reputation with a Specter or a Ghost.
  • [Fix] Objective 228 (Teambuilder) will now recognize the minion you may send to the Objective scoring building.
  • [Fix] Sometimes after Game 11 some Crates would no longer contain cards - which has been fixed.
  • [Fix] End of Campaign window would not display for some players - now it will.
  • [Fix] Fixed the corner case with a Scroll to skip a building's cost and an Alchemist persona interaction (where Scroll wouldn't work).
  • [Change] Added Rebel/Loyalist markings to rebel and loyalist Personas.
  • [Fix] The Title of the Specter tooltip is now properly translated.
  • [Fix] Glory points in the Scoring window are now displayed properly (multiplied by 10).
  • [Fix] Fixed the error with displaying bonus in tooltips multiple times.
  • [Fix] Bonus benefits in the Income buildings are now greyed out correctly (when applicable).
  • [Fix] Fixed the issue with Workers not returning to their default position after using an Amulet.

Update ver. 1.0.7 - Costs and Benefits



In contrast to the previous updates - this one is live on iOS, Steam and Android already. #Yay

  • [Fix] The cost of the building is now properly taken into account when checking if a player can score an Objective.
  • [Fix] End of Campaign scoring will now properly refresh in the window in which we chose it.
  • [Fix] Fixed localization of the Candle window.
  • [Fix] Fixed the game 11 not-being-able-to-select-a-Minion bug.
  • [Fix] Game will now properly recognize Butler and money Friend interaction when determining if we can afford a bulding's Cost.
  • [Fix] Will no longer freeze when using the Treasure to skip building's Cost.
  • [Fix] Now proper text will be displayed when you try to build over an already visited Income building.
  • [Fix] The game will automatically skip Futurist's ability if there are no cards on the mat and in the deck.

  • [Fix] Game will no longer allow us to send a robot to the Objective scoring building, when there is a Scroll on the Advancement Mat, since we couldn't use it to score an objective anyway. Assuming we had no Objective to score, of course.
  • [Fix] Game will now allow us to send a Golem to an objective requiring Coins (when we don't have any) and we do have an Alchemist persona.
  • [Fix] Scoring points at the end of the Campaign will now start with the player who made the Guidepost decision - as it should.
  • [Fix] Merchant persona will now properly generate a die roll even if we go to the Charted selected by a previous die roll.
  • [Fix] Fixes to deciding what ending we receive - taking into account inactive Charters.
