Yes, as long as one has served as a centurion and accumulated a certain amount of merit, they can qualify to become a military district general after retirement. In the reserve official pool, officials are ranked by their merit. When automatic appointment is enabled, upon the death of a military district general, the top-ranked reserve official will automatically be appointed as the new general. Here, whether you are the emperor, a military district general, or a family member, you can use your funds to financially support a character, increasing their merit and thus improving their rank.
In the Central Brigade, the centurion is the lowest-ranking officer, requiring the officer to be at least 20 years old. During their service, after accumulating a certain amount of merit, they can be appointed to higher positions such as treasurer or standard-bearer. If they choose to retire, they will gain the trait "former XX" corresponding to their official position, which serves as qualification for future re-activation or direct promotion to higher military ranks.
After organizing the military positions, development will proceed to the Silk Road and civilian officials.
Due to the relatively complex functional mechanisms of the Eastern Roman Empire, which completely conflict with European feudal systems, a full re-development is required. As a result, the update cycle will inevitably be delayed, and a postponement is unavoidable. Additionally, we are more concerned that the bugs in the imperial mechanisms need to be fully retested, which will take additional time.
