We just found out that when you participated in our playtest a few months ago and might not have uninstalled that version, your installation can be messed up for the full release. To make sure you're playing the correct version. As of now, the version number in the main menu should be 1.0.5 rev2938. If it's < 1.0.0, something is definitely messed up and you can expect any kind of weird error.
To solve that issue, the file verification of Steam might be good enough, but to be really sure, it's best to delete the whole Elemental War 2 folder in your Steam directory and then re-download the game.
