[p]The next Celtreos patch is live!

[/p]
New Setting “Relative Touch Controls”
[p]On mobile, this setting changes the behavior of touches so that the initial touch is ignored and any subsequent finger movements are relative to that point.  This emulates the behavior of some other games, which may be more familiar for some people.[/p][p][/p]
Performance Improvements
[p]Tweaks to in-game performance continue, to try to achieve the best possible frame rates![/p][p][/p]
Other Tweaks
[p]Fixed a localization issue that could cause text to overrun in the trophy display.  Minor updates to the app icon.  Minor tweaks to certain text spacing in the UI, as well as shadow effects.  Minor changes to a couple of in-game animations.[/p]

New Setting “Quick Game”
[p]This setting shortens every stage of the game (e.g. by removing certain wall sections and enemy spawns), for quicker play-throughs!  Note that if you use this mode, some Achievements and scoring objectives may be harder to obtain.[/p][p]On mobile, this setting can also be toggled by new short-cut commands in the menu attached to the game’s home screen icon.[/p][p][/p]
More Dynamic Text
[p]Although version 1.96 added support in the vast majority of the game for multiple text sizes, version 1.97 expands this even more.  Buttons, Achievement text and other in-game status text will now respect your small/normal/large text size preference.[/p][p][/p]
Bug Fixes
[p]Fixed a bug that could cause invincibility to last for longer than intended.  Minor tweaks to a few animations.  Fixed cases where music would restart from the beginning when the same song was already playing, e.g. if reentering the ship editor after recently exiting it.[/p]

[p]A big update to Celtreos!

[/p]
UI Accessibility Updates
[p]“Celtreos” now supports multiple text sizes: in the option screens, in story pages, and in the score display during the game. This can also affect layout, e.g. story pages can be arranged differently to suit the new text size or some UI text labels may wrap to multiple lines.[/p][p]By default, this will mirror your system-wide Accessibility settings.  Note that system settings are more granular; although you can adjust a slider to a variety of text sizes, Celtreos will only adapt to small, medium or large depending on where the slider is.[/p][p]Since the Mac does not yet provide Accessibility settings on a per-app basis (except for Apple apps), “Celtreos” has a new View menu with items to override text size for Celtreos itself.  You can choose to keep mirroring the system-wide setting, or override with Small, Normal or Large.[/p][p]When the setting is changed, the UI will update immediately.[/p][p][/p]
Performance
[p]On supported Macs and displays, the game can now run at 120 FPS.  This will only happen if the Best setting is used in Graphics Quality (or if the Automatic setting determines that Best should be used).[/p][p]Minor tweaks have been made to improve game performance, especially on mobile.[/p][p][/p]
App Icon
[p]The game icon has been updated to a format compatible with macOS “Tahoe” (though it also changes on older Macs).  Due to the way Steam patches games, the OS may not recognize the new icon immediately and it may even appear blank; it may require a restart or other update from the system to correct the icon.[/p][p][/p]
Bug Fixes
[p]Several minor bugs have been fixed:[/p]
  • [p]The overlay for the “Time Warp” ability no longer interferes with the UI, e.g. preventing button taps.[/p]
  • [p]Unplugging a game controller will no longer leave behind certain icon overlays.[/p]
  • [p]Added some missing French translations.[/p]
  • [p]Various corrections to UI layout and spacing to accommodate text better, especially when larger font sizes or localized text are present.[/p]

Performance Improvements
[p]Certain animated backgrounds are disabled on the lowest graphics setting.  Minor changes to rotation effects for better performance during two boss fights.  On mobile versions of the game, fixed a couple of over-rendered UI elements that were dragging game performance.[/p][p][/p]
New Setting “No Weapon Mount Items”
[p]This setting prevents items from spawning that could swap out the current weapon mount, meaning that your initial mount setting persists for the entire game.  Enabling this option means you can no longer strategically choose different mounts for different scenarios but it may also reduce frustration if you happened to swap to a less-helpful mount at some point in the game.[/p][p][/p]
Artwork and Animation Improvements
[p]Certain enemy projectiles have slightly changed.  The “Orbital Defense” boss has slightly more armor.  The “Lightning” effect now looks a bit better and it also covers a larger area.  The player exhaust smoke and death explosion effects have been updated.  Some game controller button icons have been improved.[/p][p]Also, background 3D effects have been slightly enhanced in most stages (except on the lowest graphics setting).[/p][p][/p]
Bug Fixes
[p]Fixed a couple of issues with French localization.  Fixed a background “drift” that could occur when first pausing the game.[/p]

Music Updates
[p]Many songs have been tweaked, including: Evasion, Mystery, Portension, Opposition, Trepidation, Diminution and Establishment.[/p][p][/p]
Gameplay Updates
[p]There is a new weapon mount type, “Reverse V”!  Similar to “Crossover” but focused on the reverse angle with a wider expanse, this moves your weapons fire along a rotated V path to cover primarily the area behind your ship.[/p][p]Minor tweaks to certain stage content, such as “Jungle Cave” and “Shipyard Attack”.[/p][p][/p]
Performance
[p]General improvements to game responsiveness in certain situations.[/p]
